Steve Buresh's Cookie Store & Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Plainfield

Loved their cheesecake store so my husband and I decided to try their cookie store for an afternoon pick me up. Space was cozy, relaxed, and clean. Customer service was excellent and even received a discount (special event from 1pm to 4pm on Thursday 05/01/2025). We tried a supernova brownie -which did come in a smaller size - along with swirl (chocolate and vanilla) soft serve and a large caramel salted cookie. The brownie was pleasantly fudgey and had a nice crust with decadent chunks of chocolate. The ice cream was a smack of nostalgia and I felt like a little kid again. The salted caramel cookie was soft, chewy, and enjoyable in a way adults and kids with good taste would appreciate as the slight saltiness of the caramel balanced the sweetness of the frosting. The overall size of the treats were shareable and a great value. Quality of taste and attention to detail regarding decoration on par with fresh baked goods made from scratch at boutique bakeries and my own homemade treats. Will be returning with other family...

I really wanted to like this place and gave it a shot, love to support small businesses. But this was a complete disappointment. Waited at least 10mins for 4 cookies (3 cookies and 1 brownie) and we were the only customers in the shop. Cut the cookies when we got home and 2 of the 3 were barely cooked. I had such high hopes that they would be fully cooked versus what you would get from Crumbl, but was let down. So I basically paid for 4 cookies and only 2 being edible. Super cool location that we were finally able to find time to grab some treats. We grabbed 4 cookies including the seasonal Almond cookie, oatmeal, crater chocolate chip, and the reeses. Would love to compliment the attention to detail that they put into this place and the cookies not being pure sugar bombs unlike some other chains. Staff at the front were super friendly and helpful. Wondering what the next seasonal rotation of cookies will be in the future. Price is actually way better than I thought it would be especially after trying some other chain...
