THE GALLERY CASUAL DINING & COCKTAILS — Restaurant in Plains Township

I had the pleasure of dining at this new restaurant on their 4th day in business. Usually I wait a couple weeks until the “bugs” are ironed out but I was eager to try it. I was very impressed with how smooth everything was. First, service was excellent no wait for a bar seat since I was dining alone even though it was busy.second, Food was superb!! I had small plates and was extremely impressed with the portions I didn’t know if I could finish a large plate. I paid attention to the dinners that were served and was very impressed at what I saw. Visually everything looked amazing and that is part of the dining experience. They don’t have their wine list up yet but what they had was great not your typical cheap wines. I have to compliment the ambiance, did an excellent job remodeling. Place looks amazing. I was a regular at Dominick’s, previously. I highly recommend the Gallery. We always like to try new places and The Gallery did not disappoint. Parking is easy and plentiful, the decor inviting, and the service friendly, quick and efficient. We had the crispy vegetable dumplings, the roasted beets and baby spinach salad, and the filet mignon. Everything was creative, greatly presented and absolutely delicious. We had trouble deciding what to eat, so we will definitely be back to try other offerings. Next time we will order our main dish after finishing the appetizer, as the first time around the main dish came out just after we had started the appetizer. This is no complaint though, we just like to enjoy a slow dinner with time to chat....

You Need To Know? Arrived with 5:30 reservations & we were seated immediately. Staff were courteous & fast & worked well as a team between the waitresses & servers. Drinks were stiff & food was flavorful. On this occasion we had the fig & goat cheese flat bread which was surprisingly good & different. We had the grilled lamb lollipops which were very tender & tasty. Our entree consisted of prime pork chop calabrese, the gallery chicken parm, the seafood fara Diavolo, & the chicken piccata with whipped potatoes & garlic spinach.
