Aljon's Grill Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Plainsboro Township

ordered today 19 feb 2021 and both service and food were, sadly, awful.

we ordered a plain jumbo pizza and mozzarella sticks. the man on the phone who took our order was incredibly abrupt -- it was very obvious that he did not want to be on the phone taking orders.

the food took nearly an hour to arrive and was obviously cold when it finally did.

in the past year i have come to take contactless delivery for granted apparently. not only did i have to needlessly converse with the delivery man but also had to sign the receipt. we are in the global pandemic and no one else requires this any longer --for obvious reasons.

delivery man says, "you can request contactless delivery when ordering." how is this my responsibility and why is this not the default??? every other restaurant we have ordered from since the pandemic began has done this without question, some places won't even accept cash anymore, but not al jon's? irresponsible and dangerous and frankly makes me question their hygiene practices in general.

also, as the pizza was jumbo size it clearly did not fit in the box so instead of putting it into two boxes they simply chose to fold a few slices horizontally and mutilate them.

called them back to explain what happened and it was clear that they did not care. not one bit. they got my money so too bad for me.

as for the food, it was bland and tasteless -- i've had microwave pizzas with more flavor. next time we want pizza we'll go to one of the big chains.

so, in the end, we paid $30 for bland, cold, mutilated food and poor service and were told that we need to request basic safety practices during a global pandemic.

never again will i order from here and i would advise others against doing so as...

Their food is absolutely delicious. I order from them quite often, and I would have normally given them 5 stars any other time, but tonight when I ordered, I ordered nachos with cheese and they were awful the nacho chips were as stale as stale could be I was very displeased. I will continue to order from them but will never ever order nachos with cheese or the nacho platter ever again! It was like the nachos were fron the bottom of a bag that had been left opened for an entire week! As far as their regular hot food goes and even their cold sandwiches go like I said they are delicious and reasonably priced too and I would always recommend them, but I would suggest passing on their nachos, I thought they would be like real fresh nacho chips but they are far from it...I've had better nachos from the gas station...sorry aljons.

Just went thru most of the reviews for this place on google and I notice everyone seems to have the exact same complaints as others...the recurring theme (and I am inclined to agree) is that the staff can be somewhat rude from time to time and when u mention to them that something was not done correctly they tend to blame the customer for whatever it is that ur complaint is. I have dealt with this myself on a few occasions. But they know there is lagit only one other pizzaria in the whole town besides them so they know if ur hungry u kinda dont have much choose to go to them. The food is delicious yes, but the staffs attitude kind of makes the food less...

I just moved to the area and have been trying to find a good cheese steak / pizza place. Came across Aljon's and was mad I didn't find them sooner! So far I've tried their mozzarella sticks (which have my favorite kind of breading) their buffalo wings, cheese fries and cheese steaks and have been pleased with all of them. The only thing that I tried and didn't like was the crispy bacon and chicken salad. I didn't like that there was breaded chicken in it. I wish I would've known before I ordered it. It would definitely be way better with grilled chicken. I wish they had harder rolls for their cheese steaks, but the flavor is awesome! The food is so good that we've ordered from them 3 times in the past week. Next time I'll try the pizza. *Update: I ordered a grandma's pizza, which usually comes with broccoli and tomato chunks on it, am's this was what I got. I believe this is a margarita pizza, that they called a "Brooklyn" on the receipt. This is actually one of my LEAST favorite pizzas so I was definitely disappointed when I opened the box and saw this. Their chicken tenders were good so at least I didn't go...
