King Arthur's Smokehouse & Catering — Restaurant in Plano

My daughter wanted BBQ for her graduation party and a friend told me the best catering in town is KA Smokehouse. He was right! We ordered chicken, brisket, Mac and Cheese, green beans and potato salad. The chicken was like no chicken I've ever had. Its boneless, skinless and smoked with pecan. The flavor is amazing and you can actually see the smoke ring . Just forget about other smoked chicken you've had because this is better. Everyone came back for seconds. I'm a brisket guy and highly critical. The brisket here is also the best I've ever had. A great smokey flavor. Still juicy and very tender. The bark was amazing and made it like meat candy. We ordered the mac because high school kids love it. To me most mac's are about the same. I don't know what they did to this mac but it was great and like no other. The green beans took me back to my childhood and my grandmothers beans. We used to fight over the bacon. These beans are even better because it has brisket in it! I'm pretty particular about potato salad. Its all about balancing the flavors. Too much of one and it cancels the rest. KA Smokehouse nailed it! You can taste every ingredient in every bite. We had 30 people and everyone loved it. Thankfully we had some left overs. I ate bbq for 4 days straight and was deeply saddened when it ran out. On the service side they kept us updated and showed up exactly on time. Super friendly. Definitely plan on using them again. You should too. Cant wait for the food truck to...

Kirby catered an event for us and his cooking was out of this world! I pride myself on my smoking abilities as I’ve been doing it for several years… My cooking is so good I’ve had people tell me “this is the best __ I’ve ever had.” I’m only saying this because I couldn’t hold a candle to what Kirby does… His cooking is truly next level, and his professionalism and passion for what he does is second to none. Thank you so much Kirby! You do great work and you really made our event extra special.”

Also, to the guy who posted one star... Really? Come on dude or should I say Karen.. Kirby is extremely passionate about his business model, which centers on catering exclusively. Sorry he doesn't have a big fancy restaurant for you...

King Arthur’s has to be the worse food I’ve had in years. The food truck was at a drone show. People were literally in line for hours. It took 45 minutes to get my food and I was so disappointed at the quality. It was literally a plate of slop…similar to what you would feed an animal. Never in my life have I been so disappointed. The beans were half cooked, macaroni was terrible, and the chicken looked like a hockey puck. He had the nerve to argue with me when I requested a refund. Please do not waste your money on this...
