Sun Donuts — Restaurant in Garland

Update: I believe this is the 2 management change since the sweet lady left. We miss her! This is a basic donut shop, food got better with the second management. The customer service is fast, but don’t expect a smile, or anything extra in your bag. They even charge me for 3 donut holes 🤣 which is fine- I’ll pay- but it’s sweet when they give you something extra just to be nice. Nope, you will get nothing. Anyways- it’s ok- meh I go there cuz it’s super close to my house.

Let me start off by saying that I love this place!!! They are super nice and the donuts/food they offer are amazing! I've been to many donut places and have tried a lot of different types. I absolutely love this donut shop, the donuts are airy and soft, not stale and thick. The bread for the kolaches is soft and buttery. The croissants are soft and delicious. Everything is good here!

I made the mistake of going to another donut shop because they had a drive-thru (I was running late, it was raining, it was a thing, lol). From going to the other donut shop is when I actually realized what great quality Sun Donuts had. The "other" donut shop's stuff was stale and bland. The donuts were thick and just not good.

Go to Sun Donuts you won't be disappointed!!!

I heard about this place from a coworker who said they opened up recently. I decided to check them out since I was in the area and wow they were a lot better than I was expecting. Most donut shops I go to they have this weird artificial taste to them but these donuts tasted really fresh and natural. They had a large selection too such as your standard glazed, old fashioned, cake, multiple glaze flavors, cream filled, cinnamon roll, and a whole lot more as well as a wide selection of sausage pastries. The staff there was really friendly too and even went out of their way to make some white glazed donuts for me since they were running low.
