If it were an option, I’d give this place zero stars. We had always enjoyed eating there, until our last visit. Joanna is beyond rude! We had an issue with an item on our ticket, that we shouldn’t have been charged for. She handled it very unprofessionally. My daughter, after being treated so rudely, told Joanna that she could see why they are closed the majority of the time, if this is the way she treats customers. Joanna’s reply was “what’s your f’ing problem?” Yes, she actually said it. Professional, right? She then opened the register, pulled cash out to refund the item we should not have been charged for, and threw it across the counter at my daughter. My daughter told her to keep it because obviously they needed it more than she did. She then suggested Joanna give it to our waiter because he was actually pleasant. Instead, she put it back in the register. Our waiter was American and my daughter told her it was nice to see they hire Americans now, as she had gone there to apply for a job in high school, and was told “we don’t hire Americans”. Joanna then pointed her finger in my daughter’s face and yelled “shut up!” Maybe she didn’t want the only other two people in there eating, to hear that. As my daughter headed to the door, Joanna went on to tell me that my daughter needed to be careful how she talked to people. She could take her own advice, and maybe they’d be able to open the doors more often. If she treats her employees the way she treats customers, then it’s no surprise they’re...

Wonderful place run by a wonderful family. Reading these reviews appalls me, and I cannot believe them. My family and I LOVE this restaurant. We have been going there for years, and have never had a bad experience. Food: My parents are from Mexico, and this is the best most authentic food in the area. They often have dishes and salsas available that are not on the menu, all you have to do is ask. Also, they make their foods from scratch, not using "instant" packs. For example: flan ordered at any other Mexican restaurant in the area will come to you bland and boring because it came from a jello packet, but here...they prepare them from scratch. The downside to that is that they can run out, because it takes a long time to bake, but that's worth it. Real flan is much more delicious. Accommodating: My sister had stomach surgery and could not eat solid foods. They made consomme (again not on the menu) just for her, so that she could "eat out with the family" while sticking to her prescribed diet. Also, my family wanted to have a dinner out with all 11 of us. We asked (in advance of course) if they could open the upstairs dining area for us and they were extremely generous. Not only did they open it for us, but they also (as a surprise for us) put out a special plate set that we'd never seen them use before. And for desert, they brought out a very nice platter with an assortment of cookies for us. Really, VERY nice...

The most rude staff ever!!! NEVER WILL GO BACK! I had my nephew come into town from another state and we went to this place for lunch. I requested iced tea with extra lemon. When the "mother" came to the table and brought the tea, the lemons were missing. I thought maybe she had forgotten, so I asked her for lemons. She, frustrated reached across me and over the table and grabbed little pouches out of a little bowl and threw them down in from of me and said, "Here are your lemons!" and then she left. Both my nephew and I were shocked at this behavior. I told him, "humph, and we are going to eat and spend money here? Fat chance!" And with that we both got up and left. I WILL NEVER GO BACK EVER! RUDE AND UNACOMMODATING. Another incident that my husband experienced at this same place: He and his friends went there for lunch (as they have gone before) and the television was blaring above their heads. They could not communicate with one another over the loud TV; so they asked the waiter politely to please could he turn the volume down a bit. To there request, the waiter said,"If you don't like it you can leave." WOW... they had their lunches delivered at that time. Guess what all 4 men did.... they got up and left leaving all the food on the table. It only goes to prove that if you are mean and nasty and not grateful for customers supporting your busines, YOU LOOSE!!!! We can always go...
