Kuramoto Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Pleasant View

I was so excited to take my daughter and I to a Japanese restaurant. Well that was a bad idea. We walk in and their is a sign that said "Take out only". I figured maybe they were some Covid freaked out people so that was why. We go in and they had a section blocked off by tables and five people in sweats and hoodies wondering around and one person eating. This seemed shady, but my daughter wanted to try authentic Japanese food since I talked at great lengths about my time stationed in Japan. As we approached the counter a young lady came up and was friendly and asked what they could do for us. I asked to see a menu and realized their was a bunch of paper ones in front of me. As I reached for it she grabbed a dry board and placed it to the side of us and said "Here you go". I looked at it and it said "Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken and General Tso chicken". I looked at the lady and said"That's Chinese, not Japanese". She looked shocked when I said that and I said no thanks and we left. I was excited to try this place. My family & I love sushi and with all the good reviews I figured why not try it? Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. To start with, as others mentioned the service was super slow. It took 20 minutes for soup and salad to come out, then another 20 minutes for our entree/sushi. My children had shrimp fried rice (dry), my husband had the beef stone bowl (no flavor), and I had the kimchi pork stone bowl. Not sure why kimchi was in the name of the dish, there was no kimchi. In fact, there was no vegetables at all. It was literally a bowl of mushy rice, drowned in soy sauce with 3 pieces of thin meat on top. They try to fill you up on rice in hopes you will forget that there is such a small portion of bland meat (see picture). Also, the sushi was nothing special. Waite 20 min to be seated, ok. Waited another 10+ minutes to have someone come by and take our drink order, not ok (have our food order at the same time as we had plenty of time to look over the menu). 10 minutes later I have to ask for our drinks (it was a difficult drink order, water). Finally get my salad (no silverware), and a few minutes later the drinks come out with the information that what my wife had ordered they didn't have the ingredients to make (beef stone bowl) or any of the other stone bowls. She then orders sushi, and we wait........ they bring out my food 15 min later, not hers. I inquire "when will hers be out?" Let me check, she says. Comes back, it should be out in about 30 min. WHAT! I'm already an hour invested, just got my food, and now I'm going to eat alone! Ok, I'm done, we're leaving. Then had to argue with them about paying for what I had eaten! Again, WHAT!
