YOU CAN DO BETTER I’m Sure. I have purchased four, 12 inch strawberry shortcakes for special occasions. All of which were special ordered and not off the shelf. Overall disappointment. Here’s why: Cake one: special order 12 inch strawberry shortcake, with extra strawberries. It was served after a big dinner. We cut the cake and there were little to no strawberries to be seen. My guest made jokes about the cake. And didn’t eat it. Cakes 2&3: Called the owner to ask about the lack of strawberries. He apologized and said on my next order, I would not have to pay for extra berries. I later ordered two 12 inch SBSC’s with extra strawberries. And I specifically said I wanted a piece of strawberry in every bite. These two cakes were absolutely the best ever. So many strawberries I could hardly cut through the cake. Both cakes were a big hit with my guests. Cake 4: I was a guest for holiday dinner so I ordered my favorite, a 12 inch strawberry shortcake. Again I ordered with extra strawberries. Drove from Philly (each time) to pick up cake and back , to dinner. When it came time for dessert, I opened my cake and the hostess cut it. Not one piece of strawberry in sight. Not one piece. It was so embarrassing. I called the owner about the cake and after purchasing four special ordered cakes, guess what he finally told me? That they blend the whole strawberries into the whipped cream and that’s what’s inside the cake. See photo. So I asked what about the last two cakes filled with strawberries? He said they were basically a mistake including having actual pieces of strawberries in the cake. I’m disappointed that on my very first order, that little detail was never mentioned. Another $67 cake not eaten and joked about.

My family and I have been customers of Mino’s for over 21 years. Cake quality is not the same anymore, either too sweet or dry or something always off. Despite that, I’m leaving a bad review primarily due to the hispanic girl with black hair and glasses who ALWAYS has a nasty attitude, is on her phone, gossips about customers in front of their faces in both English and Spanish literally laughing at them, and talks to customers as if they’re a burden. I thought maybe it’s just me but she is disgustingly rude to almost every customer. Shows favoritism to a couple hispanic customers however. I work in customer service and all customers deserve to be treated with respect and patience. Every time I go and she works there she’s literally so RUDE, NEVER NICE. Other employees so far seem okay. She also rushes you out before you even get the chance to buy or order or even look at anything. I don’t know honestly how some people have a job giving such POOR service. To make things worse, a couple weeks back we picked up a cake we ordered for a birthday. The rude girl of course with our luck was the one who signed the cake. She used very CHEAPLY the last bit of icing she had left and very sloppily wrote Happy birthday. It was 12 pm and we asked if she could use a new icing as this was ruining the cake, and she said no this is the only one she’ll use. We paid close to $60 and left. Usually Minos writes very classily and in beautiful cursive. Will not return and will highly NOT recommend this place to anyone I know.

Beware, locals and transients alike- You will be blown away by the selection and sheer volume of product when you walk into this unassuming bake shop on a busy local highway. The smells and colors will hit you like a freight train, You will never want to go to a Dunkin' Donuts or overpriced chain bakery ever again. It will ruin you for every artificial ingredient-laden competitor out there, and you will return time and time again, build a family and bring your children in-tow. A generational bakery and local staple. Unrivaled.

I have been coming here since the 6th grade. Nowhere near as often but years later it’s been once in a blue when I’m passing through town. The cupcakes are ok and every time I stop by the people that work here literally act like they don’t see you. Today was to yet another good example of that. Two young women that clearly see me, but are acting like they don’t and just pretend to be working. The one person that actually was working is helping someone and then when she’s done, she asked if I’m being helped although there’s no way she could not have known. On top of that, I guess it was too much for her to put any tape on the box. Overall, the atmosphere is very unwelcoming and the service is a zero but I could only give one star as the lowest. It’s such a shame as this bakery has been around forever yet the service is the thing that finally makes me realize I should never come back and for that I won’t. My hubby gets my birthday cake from here every year and this year I sadly have to tell him not to. Thanks for the better years Mino’s but these new folks and attitudes have ruined the experience. Some things should just stay as a memory. #RIP to the nostalgia that was once apart of...
