Somma Pizza & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Plum

Really great pizza and service, but I did find a small rubber band baked into my pizza, so keep an eye out haha

Updating this review because I tried to reach out to the restaurant via Facebook messenger to get this cleared up but never received a response, and I just feel the need to get this straightened out.

The rubber band is pictured on a paper plate because I got the pizza to go and ate at my home. The wait staff probably don’t remember me because I was in the building for all of five minutes just to pick up my order, so I wouldn’t expect them to. Also, I’m not the type of person who, like, inspects my order before I leave, and besides, the rubber band was kind of in the pizza, so even if I had inspected the pizza, I doubt I would have seen it. So, the review was my way of notifying someone from the restaurant since I obviously was not at the restaurant when I found the rubber band.

I’ve added a photo of the call I made to order the pizza to show that I’m not trying to make anything up.

I’m a little frustrated that I was kind of accused of lying and that my Facebook messages were never answered, but I’m not changing my rating because the pizza and ranch were delicious. We went out on a snowy adventure for some good food and by golly we found out.

We have passed Somma so many times when the place is packed to the gills and there's not an open spot to find and wanted to try it for so long. We finally did.

The service was fantastic and we got lucky they weren't busy. The pizza was tasty and light and fresh.

The Reuben my wife went crazy over and even got to swap out her marble rye for white but it was packed with meat. PACKED! She said it was the second best one she's ever had. She loved it.

I had the chicken Parm sandwich and my oh my it was delicious. Sauce (same as on pizza) is a little sour on flavor side but the chicken appeared hand tenderized and hammered and hand breaded. It was so good!

Fries were ok but could have been better. Shoestring so kind of hard but did I pickup vinegar on them? Was tasty for that being so.

Overall I would recommend going here.

My husband and I went last night for dinner and we were very disappointed. We've been there several times before and always had a good experience but it certainly not like that last night. We had to wait over an hour for our food. There were 2 tables beside us with larger groups of people who got there after we did but still got their food and left before we ever got our food. The waitress was very nice and kept apologizing for the delay which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. The food was okay when we finally got it, but not as good as we have had in the past. By the time we got served, we were so hungry we would have eaten our shoes.
