China Gourmet Restaurant — Restaurant in Plymouth

My fiancé and I went to pickup our Chinese food on New Years and the place was packed around 30 people in the entrance of the restaurant waiting to pickup their orders.

My fiancé tested positive 1/2/23 and i tested positive on 1/3/23 with covid days later after picking up our food. It was our first time going out in public after a long battle with Lynne’s disease and other serious health issues

I am scheduled to have surgery on 1/12/23 for a very important procedure and now I am most likely going to have to reschedule which will set me back another month.

This restaurant clearly cared less about social distancing and due to new variants of the covid strain they should never have allowed all of these people to wait in the restaurant to pickup their food orders.

We are now worried that someone waiting to pickup their food was covid positive as many people were coughing and no one had masks on.

No flavor, everything was very bland except for maybe the Broccoli. The sauteed broccoli did have a little flavor. We moved here in November and we have eaten there several times before but haven't eaten there in about 2 months. The food in the past has had flavor, possibly we just hit them on a bad night tonight. We just added our own soy sauce, Duck sauce, Sesame oil and hot mustard. Everything was edible it just didn't have any flavor at all. We had the pork fried rice and the vegetable lo mein and sauteed broccoli...

I ordered from China Gourmet on a Sunday and made sure to order early because the night before there was a 2 hour wait when I tried to order. Ordered at 4pm and was told that the delivery driver didn't start till 430. Food arrived at 515 ice cold. Called the restaurant and was told that the food was made fresh right before it went out. Totally wrote off my complaint and just kept saying "I dont know what to tell you, the food went out freah". Won't be ordering from here again. Too bad they are the only Chinese...
