The server (who was new) did a good job. The service was not an issue here, the food, however is another story. The appetizers we tried were disappointing. The mozzarella sticks looked like frozen items one might find at a clearance grocery outlet. The sauce for dipping was thin and watery.
The main dishes (4 total) came in waves. The first was a bowl of linguine with an Alfredo sauce that was not ordered. It was a small bowl. The server quickly took it back to the kitchen. A few moments later, a similar bowl appeared with some chunks of chicken mixed in. Not quite the fettuccini alfredo with chicken that was ordered and what looked like a half portion. Next came the chicken cacciatore. His meal was simply bland with low quality pasta and sauce with little flavor.
Finally, the last two meals arrived, chicken parmesan for both. Large pieces of chicken over more linguini. One was supposed to be fettuccini and one spaghetti (FYI, calling something a different name doesn't make it so). The chicken was devoid of flavor and the sauce was devoid of any hint of a spice. The "pan fried chicken" was soggy, probably because it soaked up the watery sauce. The waitress comped the one dessert (clearly a frozen cheesecake from Walmart).
Our group of four left and agreed that was the most bland meal made from a can one can find. Sadly, the prices lead one to expect much better. A downright disappointing...
Read moreI went to this location for the very first time tonight. I was very unimpressed. I personally struggle eating out where as I have a dairy allergy. Our waitress had no knowledge of the items on the menu and what they contained. The chefs were given notice of this. I ordered a salad on the side and still received multiple blocks of cheese in it. I then received my spaghetti and meatballs and noticed they put Parmesan cheese on top. I then spoke to the very wonderful manager(who was very sweet) and was told that my whole meal contained cheese. At this point we had been there for 2 hours and everyone was already done eating by the time our waitress even came back to tell her my situation. The manager nicely gave me a new dish with no dairy. However unhappy and just getting spaghetti with margarine was still charged 14 dollars for this meal. This plate went through many people before I even received it. I then learned my waitress wrote “no cheese” when I in fact said I have an allergy to all dairy not just no cheese. I feel as if my allergy was not addressed and taken seriously. To top it all off our waitress was uncomfortably touchy with us. Anytime she came over her hand rubbed someone in my party’s back. Personally that is very uncomfortable for me. I’m overall very unhappy and will most likely never...
Read moreMy sister and I came to the Pinehills location around 3pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t busy at all since it was in between lunch and dinner. The staff could not care less…. we sat for 15 minutes before our waitress came over. We had a direct view into the kitchen and we watched the staff chat instead of actually doing their jobs. It was almost comical how careless they were. Finally, our waitress Kirsten came over to take our drink orders. She took the order and went straight back to the kitchen to yap. I doubt she even put the order in because we were sitting right by the bar and the bar tender was hanging out in the kitchen. Kirsten didn’t even bother to bring over water that we had asked for. We finally walked out after 25 minutes and decided to go to another restaurant with capable staff.
I don’t mind waiting if it’s busy but the restaurant was practically empty. Standing around on your phones and chatting while customers can literally see you is...
