RUDENESS and INDIFFERENCE characterize the Manomet location.
First, the drive-thru attendant became exasperated because I ordered my food (which I'll revisit later in this review) instead of first ordering my lone ice coffee. When I reached the checkout window approximately 10 minutes later, the coffee was ready, but apparently the staff (according to the window attendant) forgot to prepare the two (2) breakfast sandwiches consisting of a sausage, egg, and cheese on an Asiago Cheese bagel followed by a bacon, egg, and cheese on an English Muffin. Another 10 minutes go by. I finally receive my food.
I arrrive home to find out that the staff prepared the sandwiches incorrectly (ingredients reversed). Normally I wouldn't bother returning. But, because of the staff's rudeness and apparent indifference displayed on my initial visit, I decided to return and obtain a refund.
As a courtesy, I called before leaving the house. No one answered the phone. I arrive at the drive-thru window. I explain what happened, and that I would like a refund. The window attendant then questioned if I had correctly placed my order. Luckily for me, the staff writes down the food order on a coffee cup if coffee is ordered. Yes, I placed the order correctly.
Next I'm informed that I can't receive a refund because only managers have that authority. Their manager had the day off so no luck. I then said "This is effing (using the word effing) unacceptable." The attendant became belligerent and screamed that I swore at her (I didn't). I asked for her name. She refused and said she was going to call the police. I told her I would save her the time, and that I would call the police and report "consumer robbery" at the Manomet MaryLou's drive-thru on State Road.
In the end, I spoke with the Hedges Road locale in Cedarville. Liz (Regional/District Manager) just happened to answer the phone. I explained to her the entire scenario. She said that no customer should have to put up with that type of attitude at any MaryLou's. She went above and beyond in taking care of my refund situation by issuing a $25 gift certificate. THANK YOU, Liz!
Overall, I have never had a bad experience at any MaryLou's except for the Manomet location on State Road. Sadly, the Manomet location provided excellent customer service in the past. However that quality has PLUMMETED within the past six (6) months.
My advice for Plymouth, MA customers, especially those of us who live in Manomet: Save yourself the imminent aggravation and take the extra time to drive down State Road to the Hedges Pond MaryLou's...

I stopped by the Marylou’s drive-thru and instantly loved the bright pink vibe that radiates fun, energy, and friendliness. The whole place—from the mural outside to the pink and black checkerboard interior—has such a signature look that makes it impossible to forget.
The staff was upbeat and welcoming, making the ordering process super easy and quick. Their menu has an incredible variety of coffee flavors, both hot and iced, and I especially appreciated how organized and easy it was to read at the drive-thru.
Inside, the atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic with shelves stocked full of their signature pink-packaged coffees and tumblers—perfect for gifts or taking a little bit of Marylou’s home.
Everything about this place feels authentically local and full of personality. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee on your commute or making it a destination stop, Marylou’s really does serve “the best...
Read moreCoffee and drinks are just ok. Employees weren't that friendly and seemed annoyed by questions about their products. There were 8 of us who all bought drinks and some desserts. One of our group members had to use the bathroom, and we were not allowed to use it, because it's not a public restroom. As patrons spending about $12/per person it is absurd we could not use their restroom. Not sure of law in Massachusetts, but in PA, anywhere that serves food and drinks need to have a restroom for patrons. Even if it's not a law, shame on you for not allowing paying customers to use...
