This place was recently close down and i have no idea if it is open again but i wouldn't eat there knowing what i know from the owner. The vent above the stove is filthy with dirty and dust. The food that is prepare i wouldn't eat because the owner orders too much produce and meat it become old Yes old. The owner doesn't throw way anything. Even old meat. She wil prepare it and serve it in her restaurant. The kitchen is a disaster Very unorganized and she has a stray dog that roam around inside. I know several employees that work there who quit because the way she runs her restuarant. The health department are her friends and doesn't does nothing . It was close down because Diane doesn't know how to run a restuarant. The hotel part isnt open. There are no rooms for rent. Very miss leading. The rooms up stair are not up to standard. It is very cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I know this because one of her employee stay in the room while working there. She over charges for rent for the dumpy looking room. I won't waste my money. Yes Diane. I will have you know that several employees know how bad you run your establishment. It not nasty comments but true. FYI Jamie is doing very well working for a high class restuarant and resort. The way you run you business is half ass. I could get at least three or four employees that quit because you wouldn't run your restuarant the way you should by business practices or byvthe health department. You also try stealing other people ideas. Someone is going to get food poisoning by your old food. I hope then your close...
Read moreMy wife and i arrived in Plymouth around 5:30 PM after touring the wineries and a nice outing. We wanted something fun, local and not too stuffy. The Hotel appeared to meet our needs. We sat at the bar - not our normal preference but seemed comfortable here - and enjoyed a Panini grilled sandwich and salads. Oh we did have glass of local wine too. All nicely presented but not ostentatious, appropriate portions and excellent value. My challenge was the specials board with "bread pudding and rum sauce" featured. I am like a Labrador on a duck when it comes to bread pudding. I ordered the dish with some caution, but the first bite was transforming. Wonderful texture and flavor with the amazing enhancement added by the rum sauce. The sauce was made fresh as the owner took a bottle of rum to the kitchen. The owner (we found acquired the hotel 19+ years ago) has some fun history herself. The owner is delightful and her pride in this historic foothills business shows. Still has the funky feel but very comfortable and worthy of 5 stars in our book. This is not "Toast" but worthy of a relaxed excursion into California small town history. Oh, take some time to chat with Luke. He is the bar-keep and can spin a pretty good story when invited. We will be be stopping in again. Actually, my wife is already planning a group outing with friends to enjoy their...
Read moreMy friends and I spent a weekend in Plymouth wine tasting and decided to stop in for dinner here one night. We ordered 2 pizzas, 3 apps, a soup and salad, and a burger. We got the pizzas quickly and then waited 45 minutes with nothing coming out for us. No one ever came up to our table to explain why things were taking so long. After about an hour someone did come up to apologize and explain they had a large party. They then said it would be only 5-10 more minutes for the rest of our food. We then got one of each of the rest of the items about every 10 minutes. One of us didn’t get her soup until an hour and 45 minutes later. It wouldn’t be so bad if they checked in with us periodically and apologized for the long wait time, but there was so little communication that most of our time was spent waiting at an empty table for our food. They comped us for a couple items and took 25% off the bill, but it was such a bad experience, I will never stop here again. Honestly the worst restaurant...
