I really wanted to give this cafe whooping 5 stars, I really did. I’d say an “E” for effort! I was excited to have a fun little cafe in the neighborhood. I often complain about how there’s not enough of those up here in the mountains. It’s a very cute store front with a “farmhouse” vibe. The limited seating inside keeps it “cafe” in my opinion, and that’s not a bad thing. I’ve encountered at least two cooks/chefs the few times I’ve been. Friendly, hardworking guys, much respect.
The food is cozy, and slightly healthier than other options nearby. It’s definitely a welcomed changed. My food have always been flavorful. I agree with one reviewer that they skimp on the drink front. I’ve never challenged it, but I shouldn’t have to. Whoever makes the drink know the cup isn’t full so why should I have to be the awkward one and remind them? Speaking of cups, while I know the topic of sustainability can be controversial to some, but I wish this cafe was slightly more sustainable as it relates to their packaging.
The experience I’ve receive via phone is unmatched with the experience I receive when I’m physically there. I’ve had a few instances of ( “wait .. huh??) when calling in. The latest was when I called to place a an order for pick and was told after a slight pause that “they aren’t taking any to go orders” with an immediate “thank you have a good day.” That was at roughly 3:30pm. This is one of a few instances. Slightly unpolished customer service. I’m going to assume that what she meant to say was “unfortunately due to an overwhelming amount of dine in and in-person take out orders, we aren’t able to accommodate over the phone orders for pick-up, we apologize for any inconvenience….or something of that nature. A little apathy can go a long way. I understand some of the challenges associated with these expectations, but it’s hard not to comment when you are paying descent money for a meal. I know , inflation! Even still, not cheap! But even if the prices were to my liking, I still have expectations as a patron.
Again, the food is flavorful, and they have the right idea in mind....
Read moreTried to organize a party of 14 for a bachelorette breakfast. Called 2 weeks in advance and was told shouldn’t be an issue. A week later I call to confirm and was told I’ll receive a call back. After 2 calls over 4 days no one would commit to saying yes and was skirting around the logistical challenges without being honest and transparent. Now I am left trying to schedule a group breakfast for 14 people in 4 days due to their lack of honesty and transparency. Please stay away for large groups
I appreciate the reply, but your statements are simply misconstrued. I was aware that your space was small. I was told that from the beginning. I specifically asked if our size would be a problem because I would look elsewhere if that was the case. I was told it shouldn’t be and I should receive a call later that day to confirm—which I did not. That was the first time I called. I didn’t receive a call back until I called with 1 week until the reservation to confirm and ask if i could add another person (originally 13 people to updated 14 people). To which I was again told I would receive a call later that day to confirm—which I did not. Even when I did receive a call back other options were stated but at no point was I told you were unable to accommodate my party. I was just continuously met with “well, we only have 15 seats so we’re trying to make it work, but I’ll have the owner call you back”. A simple “no, we cannot accommodate you” would have been honest and sufficient. Please don’t...

Didn’t come to check on us see if we needed a refill I spoke with the manager April she gave her sincere apologies and did let us know that our waitress was new and young I get it. Gave it another chance today with our kids… again HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! We got seated, it took a while until anyone can to us not only that I was asked if I needed a menu really😞 ok shrug it off.. I know food is good.. again waitress had no time for us o wait… when we put in our drink menu we waited and then she came and said I’m waiting for more cups to get your drinks.. ok really your a restaurant not enough cups wow and this is not a cheap place by any means our breakfast for us 4 was $92.92 not hurting for money but with that price tag come on it’s not McDonald’s lol.
