Pocono Cheesecake Factory — Restaurant in Pocono Township

I am in the poconos on vacation. I was very excited to try this place. I placed my order online for cookies. A couple pieces of cheesecake and carrot cake. So what i'm about to tell you is a very honest review from start to finish. I placed my order online. I went to pick it up. I called to let the guy know I was outside. The first red flag I asked the owner who I think it was. Could you please honor my request that I put online for the cookies? They only sell them in packs of 4 I would really like to try each of them. 4 out of the 5 flavors. He went on to tell me how you basically only get one flavor is what he was trying to say I said. Can you please make an exception as I am a first time customer? And I'm excited to try your baked goods. He kept trying to make excuses and tell me. I will refund you for the cookies. I have to go back in the freezer and separate them. They're already bagged up. I said could you please? I will pay extra if it's needed and he goes well. I don't really wanna do that because I'm not always here. I don't want you to come back and think you can just do this. He was really nasty to me as a first time customer if I was not already there. And if I hadn't already paid for it online. I would have gone elsewhere with my business to someone who appreciated their customer!!! Either way, after going back and forth quite a few times he finally said that he would do it with an attitude of course, but he did. Upon trying everything the cookies were decent. The cheesecake did not have crust my suggestion there Would be for the cheesecakes with fruit toppings. Use a Graham cracker crust. It would really add to it and for the chocolate peanut butter. Raspberry etc type a chocolate Graham cracker crust. Would really complement it coming from someone who's quite the baker herself. Also, if you're gonna use pineapple. I would recommend using fresh pineapple. The pineapple topping is not the same as fresh pineapple on cheesecake. And it tasted horrible. I had to scrape it off to eat it it was hardly edible Now, for the carrot cake it was OKI could eat it. However, it was very sweet and this is my honest feedback. Hopefully it helps someone! Unfortunately, with competitors and local bakeries, farmers markets things like that nearby. I will not be back. Customer service means everything to me. I can bake my own stuff and quite well. I would rather go somewhere where I am appreciated and valued as a customer. I personally work in customer service. So I do understand the importance. Of it and making sure to recognize. Each and every client who contributes to my business. That way, it enhances word-of-mouth and brings them back. I will not be back...

Delicious cheesecake! Today was my 2nd visit, after my 1st back in March 2020. My trips here were after finding this place when staying at Great Wolf Lodge. I got a whole plain cheesecake the 1st visit and it was delicious. This time I got a half a plain with strawberry topping and a quarter of the peanut butter cheesecake. When I got home, 2hrs away in Jersey. I tried a bite of the peanut butter cheesecake and WOW! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but knew I was probably going to, and I am regretting not getting a bigger cheesecake of that one lol. Would of, should of, could of, but now regretting it. Wish I just tried a sample to begin with as they mentioned they offer. Wish they had like an apple pie cheesecake! Will have to try samples of the other varieties next visit. Could be one expensive trip next time but ill have money saved aside for it lol. Only reason they aren't a 5 star for me, is because they do no graham cracker or any type of crust at all.

Went back on their website to see if they ship cheesecakes. Unfortunately doesn't look like it 😥. I'll have to wait till my next trip back to Great Wolf Lodge, to stop back in and buy some whole ones to bring home and freeze. Sadly that trip won't happen until late 2023. As we won't come back till they finish the construction and renovations...

SO much better than that "other" cheesecake factory, you know the one. Plus, half the price! Young lady working the counter was super pleasant. This was our first time here and was a spur of the moment after we saw it pop up on Google maps. She offered us a sample of the pumpkin cheesecake, and it tasted like pumpkin pie with a hint of cheesecake, if that even makes sense. Then I just HAD to sample the peanut butter one, mainly to help me decide which size to get, kid size or regular slice. Regular size it was! Then they had a peanut butter brownie. I had been craving a brownie all day and being from out of town, wasn't sure where to go. Well, peanut butter anything wins me over so I got one of those as well. Was NOT disappointed! It apparently has peanut butter in the mix because it was just like a chocolate peanut butter blend that is to die for! I am on a low sugar diet (I know, why did I even stop here in the first place, but thats none of your business 😉 ) so these 2 pieces of pb heaven will last me a few days other wise, they would be gone faster than you can read this review!
