As a regular at 4 Vientos in East Los (the gold standard of mariscos in L.A.), I had to try this competition. I was very pleased with my journey out to Pomona just to eat at this place that is famous for their deep fried shrimp tacos and other seafood dishes. I came here by myself. It is a small stand with an order counter (you can buy any assortment of Mexican candies here) and kitchen at the entrance, and a dining area out back (air conditioned) with 7 tables for 4, and a single table for 2. There wasn't an empty table once I sat down. I ordered 2 shrimp tacos, and a small campechana cocktail (octopus, shrimp and abalone cocktail). I devoured it and wanted more. The small cocktail is perfectly sized. It arrived in a styrofoam cup, about 12 ounces. Not as packed as I'm used to, but delicious nonetheless. When you pick up your order after being called, there is a bin or crackers and a bag of tostadas you can grab to your heart's content. My shrimp tacos came out piping hot, with a bit of sliced avocado and salsa on top. The shell was crisp, the innards were packed with delicious filling, and the tableside salsas (I used Salsa Sinaloa, a habanero sauce) were bottled for your pleasure (a choice of tapatío, Sinaloa, and two house salsas). If I had one of these closer to San Gabriel Valley, I'd go all the time. I heartily recommend this spot for any and all Mexican seafood fanatics and any body looking for good food with no frills.

Brick-and-mortar location of the original food truck. The hard shell shrimp tacos are the best in all of LA. There’s something so addicting about biting into that crispy shell into the delicious mix of shrimp, avocado, and salsa. Top it off with some lime and a few dabs of the fiery red hot sauce, and you’ve got yourself a little bite of heaven. It’s $2.25 plus tax per taco (there’s no tax when you go to the food truck though) so it’s also easy on the wallet. I’d suggest getting 3-4 for a meal. There’a street parking in the front and there’s also a park down the block where you could hypothetically picnic at. There is a small parking lot although it was full when we were there. They take credit cards. There is seating although right now there’s no dine-in due to covid. You can’t go wrong eating the shrimp tacos here but they do offer other items like ceviche tostadas. If you can’t get to the food truck, then definitely come here to get your fix.

Delicious seafood tacos and ceviche. Saw this place on Ugly Delicious (a show on Netflix) and decided to try it and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, since we were first timers they let us try a free taco de camarón (shrimp taco). This Pomona location is new, as they started as a food truck in Los Angeles. They also make their own delicious hot sauce from chile de árbol. The seafood tasted fresh and the avocado was perfectly ripe. The ceviche was my favorite.

Staff, manager, owner's family are all great at this standout mariscos establishment! Not hype at all... the City of Gold and Ugly Delicious segments will never convey what a delicious taco their fried tacos de camaron are!!! We all could eat several on top of the other stuff. The aguachile is spicy and tasty, and the Poseidon tostada is outta control.

Can't wait to come back! Support this business, do yourself and a good family a favor, and thank me later. They have 3 trucks and this first restaurant!

The house made hot sauce is good, and so are the Sinaloa bottles of...
