Mamaspupusas — Restaurant in Pomona

I know many of fellow Salvi blooded folks and others still venture out to Los Molcajetes In East LA and yes you can’t get authentic as them. Being a local of Pomona I’m beyond spoiled that Mamas is down the road from me!! I try to go at least once a month because of the authenticity of their amazing pupusas. The thing that really got me hooked is their curtido. I have had many curtidos from different places whether it’s from Los Angeles Houston and out In Virginia/Maryland where you have a big Salvadorean population. Mamas is the only place that legit has the same flavor of their curtido of how my grandmother used to prepare it. My mom also makes it the same and Mamas must know that amazing recipe as well. I’m giving 1 star because of what we experienced. We got there and there was a pickup truck parked on the side of the building by the employee door. A man took our order and once he was done he went out to the pickup truck to talk to the man there and took him some beers. Which I didn’t like already because you have customers waiting. Once our food was ready he came back in to pack it up. When we were leaving the man in the pick up truck decided to urinate by the employee door. I was so disgusted!!! Always authentic and delicious, I’ve been coming here for about a year and they are always authentic and home made. It breaks my heart to see a horrible review of this place because they’ve been feeding the city of pomona for quite some time. The review left about alcohol I can assure I am a regular customer from this establishment as well as several people I referred, no alcohol is sold at this establishment there is however a liquor store across the street if u are interested in purchasing alcohol.
