Came her for a class with Pasta Social and knew we had to come back to try the food and get some Turkish desserts. I ordered the chicken iskender and it was absolutely delicious! I didn't take a photo at the restaurant because I was so excited to dive into it. So attached is the other half I had for lunch the next day.

The portion size of this meal was huge! The chicken was so tender and the tomato butter sauce was so velvety and bursting with flavor. My husband ordered the beef wrap with a side of hummus; which was super creamy! All the food was incredibly tasty. The owner was also very sweet and gave us some apple tea to try while we waited for our food. It was so good! I liked that it wasn't overly sweet but had a really good flavor to it. My husband also ordered a Turkish coffee and wow, I don't think I've ever tried a coffee that had so much flavor to it. It was wonderful. Lastly, we also ordered some Turkish delights to take home which are absolutely divine. We ordered the Nutella, 3 nut blackberry, pomegranate pistachio rainbow and the whipped pistachio. They all are super flavorful and just the perfect bite of something sweet. Thank you Mito's! We will...

A little background. Döner (also spelled "doener" for those of us who don't have an umlaut lying around): it's very hard to come by around here. But I just knew I'd have to try it after speaking with a friend from Germany, where it has grown into a beloved national dish thanks to Turkish immigrants. I surveyed a few potential spots in my area, with my friend's consultation, and he remarked that Mito's menu does something that's very familiar to him: you can order a wrap with "everything except hot peppers" (in Germany you'd order something that translates to "with without peppers"). It was that little touch that made me interested to venture about half an hour out west into Pomona to give this place a try.

I'm very pleased to say, not only is this one of few places that offers doener, but that it's definitely a great spot to eat. The food was delicious and well-made, reasonably priced, and the staff there were friendly. In fact the flavors were so addicting, my partner and I had to split a third lavash wrap between the two of us just to hang out with those flavors a little longer. You can bet I'll be making the trip...

A great Turkish restaurant in Pomona, which is hard to come by! Delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, amazing service. The quality of the food is excellent and the meats are seasoned very well. The portion sizes are also great for what you pay. Additionally, they have a nice selection of menu items and the shish kebabs are charcoal-fire grilled in the winter, which makes the kebab have the coal/smokey flavor that many love.

The staff and the owner are extremely kind and helpful people. It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Mito and learning his story, which you can absolutely taste in the food. We have been here multiple times and every time, the environment has been extremely welcoming and everyone has been very kind.

Regarding the environment, there are indoor and outdoor patio seatings with couches, regular chairs and tables. You will always find comfort in seating.

Overall, this restaurant’s food is 5/5 and is highly recommended to everyone, especially if you...

Trying out Turkish food for the 1st time. The place is a nice little corner and very quaint. The service is exceptional. The food was very good. I had the beef plate which comes with 1 starch & 1 side. I had sub starch for lettuce/lemon mix, with half carrot salad (yogurt base/garlic) & cacik jajek (yogurt base/cucumber/garlic). The beef resembled carne asada. The yogurt was great to dip in the meat. The lettuce lemon mix was good. The only complaint is the meat had a lot of fat. The other thing I do want to mention is if you want to sub another side for the starch they offer other than the lettuce mix(which is free) they charge $2.50. I will also address the portion size, they are smaller than other take-out containers. But for my likes, I was good with it. People that eat more, would not be ok with the portion sizes & prices.

Wow I just had the BEST customer service experience First of all the food is incredible. But I walk in right as they open. Mito is there, setting up. He loves what he does so much he beckons me over to partially behind the counter and has me smell the spit of cooking meat (incredible). He then carves a slice of meat, hands me a fork to try it, right off the base of the spit! So I’m in taste bud heaven while the bread for my Döner is cooking. Then, on my way out, I’m given a pro bono, fresh piece of walnut baklava. Needless to say, it was euphoric. Super kind owner and staff, substantiated by amazing food and service. I can’t say your experience will be like mine, but I have no doubt they treat everyone who walks through their door with class. If I didn’t live all the way in LA proper I’d be here every other week.
