Went to this location to purchase tactical gear (as I always do) and was met with the utmost ignorance. I initially came to purchase a backpack and when I found one suitable, I noticed there was a price tag of $54.99 which was a tad bit confusing as I saw the exact same pack on display for $44.99. When it was time to checkout, I mentioned that the item was on display for a lower price and the male working the front register immediately discredited what I said and then firmly pointing and at the price tag stating that "this is the price, right here" as if I couldn't read or comprehend. His whole demeanor made me uncomfortable and was that of a man that judges based on physical appearance and that alone. Rather than him exhibiting basic customer service skills, he chose to argue back and forth. As I've had experience dealing with these types of individuals, I figured the best thing to do was just pay and get out of there. But before I left, I was sure to take a photo of the item that sparked this conundrum. Before I could even get home, I decided to take the backpack back for a refund. Just wasn't too excited about giving money to an establishment where their employees are allowed to behave in such manners. So of course when I get back his demeanor completely changes "we sent someone out there to get you but you were gone" faking empathy is highly detectable especially if youre already an ingenuine person. definitely should've been more willing to help when I initially purchased the pack, not when I came back in for a refund. Went on to play the victim and act like I was being irrational, and tried to place blame on others when it was his ball to pick up. Wasn't about the money, more so about the principle. Loved shopping at this store, but amazon is just...

Bought a 10x20 used fishing net, I liked the price so much I went back next day (today) and bought another one. I opened both bags, stretched out both nets, measured both with tape measure and they're not even close to 10x20. They're not even rectangles!! Lol! Return policy says all sales are final on used items but this isnt a matter of me changing my mind about a purchase. I'm giving them the benifit of the doubt that they wont give me any problems tomorrow when I return the the nets. I'm giving them 3 stars. I had to dock them at least 2 for the blunder and wasted time this is frustrating! Tomorrow however I'll gladly give them 5 stars and my future buisness if they do the right thing (my money back or the 120 sq ft of netting that's missing). Either way I'm gonna update the outcome tomorrow morning 9am as soon as they open! Wish them luck!!!.......UPDATE!!! These guys came through totally! No problem, I should waited until this whole ordeal was over...

Overpriced + charged something that we didn't buy😡😡😡 Must check your receipt before you leave!!!

I wanted to try MRE and bought some packs of food. They charged me $4.99 each which wasn't even a full kit. I dropped by other surplus store on the way back home. They had same exact product at $1.98. I also paid $1.99 per small dessert pack here and other store one was at $0.98. If you go to the other store they have full legit MRE at 8 bucks so this place is ridiculous. They charged my boyfriend $29.99 for something that we didn't buy. I think they charged same product twice because the guy was manually putting the number in and he did the same thing on my receipt where he put $19.96 twice and deleted. I dont know if he was trying to scam us but they need to figure out better...

M&I Surplus has been around for a long time, but it's not really much of a military surplus store. The "military" supplies they sell are mass produced overseas or can be found at any Walmart or on Amazon. Any actual military supplies are limited (see small section in picture) and some are so heavily worn, they don't have a lot of life in them left. Prices are high and the staff seem preoccupied. I paid in cash and my change was a few dollars short. It seems this was the case for another reviewer too. So check your receipt for extra charges and if paying with cash, count the change you get back.

M&I Surplus is a Treasure in its continued existence, but would you expect less from a "Prepper" supply destination!?! So glad to see the same friendly faces, always ready to answer questions pulling from lifetimes of experience passed down... so don't be shy. Everything you see in there is for sale but not everything they sell you can see, so ask. Camping, Uniforms, Tactical supplies, Flags Boots Levi's Tweezers and dental picks Rope Luggage Tape Action Sports Military Surplus And more more more! Go visit. Support! Everyone finds something! Tell them "BD" sent you! Cheers!
