Del Taco — Restaurant in Pomona

The drive-thru service at this location is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Over an hour waiting in line for a very simple food order that the very incompetent staff could not get right no matter how many times we tried to point out their mistakes. I received three food items that were not on my order at the very beginning and the car in front of us also had issues. We were initially warned that the car two cars in front of us had a large order but still chose to wait which was a mistake. When we ended up leaving it was only out of frustration because we did not even have the correct items in our order that were clearly indicated on my receipt. Once we arrived home with the food it was very disappointing because the meat was overcooked and burnt. If we hadn't pointed out the missing item from our order we would have left the establishment with the most expensive item not even in the bag and the cashier try to say it was the cooks fault. The car in front of us waited almost as long as we did for a very simple order but that also was made incorrectly. The lady at the window couldn't have been less concerned about how long we waited or help her orally she was doing her job. This is after all a restaurant in Pomona California but as we were hungry this was one of very few options at that time of the night. It was a Saturday night only about 11 and this restaurant had the worst service and was highly understaffed. I cannot say enough bad things about this experience and I doubt I will be going through a del taco drive-thru ever again. The walking option was not available to us which I would have much preferred but being hit is Pomona and they have a number of unsavory characters in that area the front doors were locked. One thing is for sure that establishment will never get the opportunity to steal any of my money from me again because clearly with the prices they charge for their food items it was nothing more then highway robbery as we sat stuck in the Drive-Thru lane for an hour while the incompetent staff proceeded to ruin what was previously a very...

I pulled up and order two bean rice and cheese burritos, a soft turkey taco and an ice tea. The person in front of me lagggggged and was inept. She then drove off when she got to the window.... GREAT. I was so distracted talking to the guy about how stupid she was that I drove away without realizing I didn't receive my ice tea. It was a drag but that part was my fault, I had my bag of food so I can live with that....

I finish my hour drive home from work, the commute is my choice and it is worth it. BUT WAIT!!!! Hungry as hell I open my bag and realize I got HER ORDER. Just as I observed she ordered some confused crap it was ONE burrito with rice, lettuce and sauce. Horrible. So I call to try and get a hold of the guy who was as confused by her ineptitude as I was. Can't... I called ELEVEN times. Not cuz it's my style to hit the send button heavily, but because 7 times it rung until it reached a fax machine noise. We all know the horrendous noise. The other 4 were busy signals and my phone just bounced out. It was probably ME making their line busy, calling back aggressively.

I never leave reviews. If I don't like a place I just don't come back. This happens to be the only Del Taco around and one of only a few 24 hrs places which is my only option after hitting the gym late night. I've been coming here for about 4 months now maybe 3x a week usually around 10pm-2am. I have never been here once and received good service. It's been horrible every damn time. Drive thru usually takes at least 25-30 minutes on average. No exaggeration. Right now it's 11:20 and there's 4 ladies here. Not you're typical understaffed situation. However 2 just left and there is still a line out the door and a line in drive thru wrapped around the building. I watied inside for 20 minutes for 2 burritos. Girls were laughing and moving super slow. I ran a fast food restaurant for 3 yrs. Never seen anything like this. Manager is not analyzing their late night traffic and business whatsoever. Also does not know how to properly train staff. Either del taco doesnt give a freak or the manager doesnt. Whatever you do don't come here unless you have no choice. Save yourself some...
