This is a brand new, sparkling clean Five Guys in the outparcel of Pompano City Centre. The first Five Guys opened in 1986 in Arlington Virginia when the four Murrell brothers were ordered by their parents to ""Start a business or go to college." They decided to go the business route with a quick service restaurant selling hand formed and grilled burgers and fries cooked in peanut oil. There are no freezers at Five Guys, only coolers. By 2001 they had five locations in the DC area. In 2002 they decided to franchise. Today there are more than 1,700 locations across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. I was starving and it was way past lunch time when I discovered this newly opened Five Guys. I ordered the cheeseburger which comes with assorted toppings, your choice. For me it is ketchup, pickles, onion and tomato. It was a massive juicy patty cooked perfectly. I didn't have room for fries but they looked great and then even list on the board where they come from, somewhere in Idaho during my visit. Drinks are from a fun Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Staff are super friendly and they have both indoor and patio seating. This is a great addition to the Pompano quick service dining scene.

The service was great, and the food (as always) hit the spot. What really made this visit special was the atmosphere, thanks to a little local legend: Gary the Squirrel đŸżïž Local celebrity ✹ Peanut enthusiast đŸ„œ Five Guys’ unofficial mascot 😁 He’s cracked the code: charm the humans, secure the goods. Gary wasn’t a distraction or a nuisance at all. He didn’t beg or bother anyone. He was just doing his thing...posing, being adorable, and spreading smiles outside the door. His presence honestly made the experience more fun and memorable. It’s little moments like that which give a place character. If you spot Gary, be kind to him, maybe offer him a nut or two đŸ„œ

The only reason I'm giving this place a 5 star review is because of this phenomenal young man whom is working his butt off and still even PLEASANT when he's here ALONE. He's taking orders. Cooking AND doing milkshakes while being the ONLY PERSON HERE. Not 1 single other person in the building. So HE GETS 5 STARS. The organization. Management. And other employees (that I'm sure called out and didn't care) DO NOT GET 5 STARS and really should be ashamed of themselves.

Really weird experience here. My husband likes five guys and has me go pick him up a burger once in a while from five guys locations all over the East Coast, US. It's never a problem. This location was still locked up at 11am. I waited outside until 11:03 when they opened the door. I ordered him a bacon cheeseburger. The man making the food went in the back to get ingredients (which is weird because usually all the other five guys already have burgers on the grill) and when he came back out Shakerra W said "no tip" and he nodded. I assumed that meant he was going to do something to the burger so I left. Called corporate for a refund and they are handling it now after requesting no call backs from the pompano location. There's a lot of places to eat in this strip mall, so it's best to avoid this five...

During our visit to Five Guys, we were greeted with the comforting aroma of fresh fries and sizzling burgers, immediately setting a welcoming tone. The atmosphere was laid-back, with its casual dĂ©cor and upbeat vibe, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. We ordered the classic cheeseburgers, which were juicy and full of flavor, just as expected. The fries, cooked to perfection, had that signature crispiness, and the portions were generous. What stood out was the customization—being able to choose from a variety of toppings to personalize the burger made the meal feel tailored to our tastes. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly, making the experience even better. It's definitely a spot for a reliably good burger and...
