Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Pompano Beach

A refreshing, fruity smoothie is just the thing I need on a hot day like this. Since I was in the area, I stopped at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe location in the Pompano Citi Centre. It was very quiet inside as a male & female employee were preparing and packing online orders. When the male employee was done, he took my order for an all American wrap with bacon and a mango monsoon smoothie.

The smoothie was very fruity and tasty...made with fresh mango and pineapples, coconut cream; and papaya, guava, and passion fruit juice. The All American wrap, which is an all-day breakfast item, was a satisfying snack...fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and cheese all wrapped up in a flour tortilla and heated.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is my go-to for delicious smoothies. So far I have tried over 10 different smoothies, and they were all yummy and filling. Fresh fruits, non-fat yogurt, various juices, and your choice of add-ins and supplements are used to make these creations. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Rebecca during my recent visit 3/21/25 around 7:30AM. From the moment I interacted with her, she had a rude and dismissive tone that made it clear she had no interest in providing quality service. Rather than being helpful or accommodating, she seemed impatient and unwilling to engage in even basic customer service.

It was evident that she lacked passion for her role, as she made no effort to create a welcoming environment or address concerns professionally. Every question I asked was met with an unhelpful, curt response, making the entire interaction frustrating.

Good customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately, Rebecca did not meet even the most basic expectations. I hope management takes note and provides the necessary training—or finds someone who actually values...

I like to try new local places, hoping they will bring new options to the area. As such, we decided to try Tropical Smoothie Cafe when we were at the Pompano Mall the other day. Chose the "Beach Bum" smoothie. To be honest, prices seemed a bit steep compared to, for example, Smoothie King on Federal Highway. And the smoothie itself was very disappointing. Tasted like a bland Slurpee. No sweetness, no juice flavors, mostly just tasted "ice". This place will have to step up its game ( and perhaps lower it's prices a bit) if it is going to survive given the local...
