I must have ordered from this place over fifty times and it's always been Great. Their Italian and Famous Philly subs are over the top. That was until the other night. I ordered a Giant Mike's Famous Philly as usual but this one totally sucked. The meat had a sweet bbq taste to it. But an old taste like it's been sitting out all day and the onions were stringy. I only ate half and tossed the other half. The sub came with a free Turkey and Provolone which I threw in the fridge for the next day. When I opened it the sandwich was just sludge and soaking wet. I ended up tossing that too. I hope Jersey Mike's isn't going down the tubes. That would be such a shame. They're the best sub shop as far as I'm concerned... ot at least they were. I'm gonna give them one more shot. This is how this issue wasn't resolved... Owner reached out to me and offered a replacement sub for the nasty one. I accepted and informed him my nephew would pick it up for me around 6 pm. He said no problem and would inform the store personnel. My nephew called me around 6:30 and told me he was on his way to Jersey Mike's. I said Great I'll call them to have the sub ready. When I called no one had any idea what I was talking about. Even the manager. I called the owner himself but he didn't answer so I called my nephew and told him not to bother continuing the trip because they have nothing for us. I then emailed the owner and the next day he responded did you call the right store? Let me figure out what happened. He then responded and apologized again saying he figured out what happened. It was a lack of communication. He said if I gave him all my contact info and address he would have the store manager call me and personally deliver a sub to my house. I didn't want to do that so I declined. This issue is now unresolved and my nephew is laughing at me because I'm subless. The only possible resolution now would be a sub for each of us. My take on this entire matter is that DEI has invaded Jersey Mike's and they lost a...
Read moreI was looking forward to trying this company for the first time, unfortunately it was very disappointing. All the hype about friendly staff from the company didn't translate to the staff at this location, (can't speak for other locations). No greeting even after eye contact, after several minutes of standing there finally a... "what can I get you"? -
I saw $12 to $13 for something called "the giant" and about $8 for regular, I asked how big the regular is, she showed me a small maybe 6" cut off a sub, looked too small for the price, as the "giant" is about 13" at best.
Although an expensive sub, I went with the giant, got a 32oz drink (not sure, cup was much smaller than other 32oz from other establishments) another $3.50... Okay...
Then when I was paying she informed me twice that when I agree to the price after inserting my debit card that "There will be a question on the following screen? Okay...? a screen asking how much I wanted to tip, with 4 or 5 options, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% etc - she kept looking at me as I looked at the screen (somewhat confused as I've never seen this" question" at a fast food place before. She glanced at the guy frying the meat on the flat top several times and I felt obligated to at least hit the 10% tip option seems she made such a big deal about it (twice).
So basically I came home with a long sub with meat only on 3/4s of it inside and definitely nothing to write home about, the bread was dry, had to add my own mayo and ketchup as the previously frozen nitrate ridden supposed "steak" was pretty sad for the price (think chopped "SteakUms"... Yeah)
TL:DR - Unfriendly staff, no greeting, no reason whatsoever you would feel compelled to tip them for just barely doing their job, and officially THE most expensive sub I've ever purchased and is far from worthy of the cost, never again - buyer beware. Sub, drink and 10% tip over $20! Could have had a meal and an alcoholic beverage at Chili's...
Read moreADDITIONAL UPDATE: The exact date was December 6th as previously mentioned, please refer to the transaction date. It was a late lunch and the time frame was between 1:00 to 4:00pm. The females were white, the male was African American with a big afro. Hope that helps. Thank you!
UPDATE to Jersey Mike’s Subs response to my original review.
Response such as “…email me at xxxxx, we can get a bit more information from you about when you visited so we can address with the team” is a common response to brush off a customer and deflect from what took place on December 6. My description of the employees is very clear, and I think you know who they are. I no longer have the receipt but the charges to my debit card is attached.

The weekend of December 7th we walked in to our favorite chain sandwich shop for a quick lunch. There was a female employee with long black hair, extremely long fake lashes and thick eyebrows who was more interested in flirting with an African American male employee with a big Afro than helping customers. So basically the only person working there was another female with long black hair; she was doing the job of three people! While she was making my sandwich she skimped on the lettuce, and I asked her to add some more and she did. 😊 She did not wrap up the sandwich correctly and as she handed it to me it opened up. I think she may need additional training. Clearly she is overwhelmed by the amount of work that she does, and trying to do her best while the other two employees are not doing their jobs! I feel for her. 😔
Management needs to be more focused in hiring people who are willing to...
