Although the food was prepared well, and the service was good, the menu prices are to high for the small food portions. After speaking with the server I was expecting the staff to be paid well, based off the high prices and small portions. This was not the case. I learned that they only pay their servers $2.13 a hour with no wage increases expected or ever received. The cook staff was paid minimum wage, with some slightly above at 20 to 30 cents. Bathrooms were filthy, tables not properly cleaned, got a general sense that the staff was not happy with their reward versus work expected of them. Not sure who owns this particular establishment but I get the feeling that they have no desire to run a family oriented restaurant. We refuse to eat at establishments that their only focus is to advance the income of the owners, with no concern for the welfare of their employees. Maybe it was an off night, or maybe dinner sucks and breakfast is what all the rave is about. The best part of our meal was the fried green beans. My husband’s fries were cold and stale. He asked for new fries, and it was obvious the cook flash fried them again because the server was back just as fast as she took them. My dinner salad was shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese. No croutons? I’ve never been served shredded lettuce for a dinner salad in my 41 years of life. The mushroom gravy I had was super salty and congealed. My side of Mac had an almost dry film like it’d sat out all day. Terrible terrible terrible!!! worst restaurant experience I've ever had! I ordered a grilled chicken salad they put in about of cup of shredded lettuce that was BROWN I MEAN ROTTEN BROWN. I then told the waitress I can't eat this. She then took the salad back and proceeded to tell me I'd order something else if I were you!. So I did. I ordered chicken strips. Usually can't go wrong with deep fried chicken. It then came out to the table I cut it in half so it could cool. Because by now I'm starving waiting on my food and my husband had already finished his plate. And it was raw! I've never been so upset at a restaurant in my life. We will NEVER GO BACK!
