One item in my order was the Luxe Cravings Box. This box is supposed to include a drink and three items. My box was missing the double stacked taco. Because the employees failed to check the accuracy of my order, I did not receive the full value for my money. The entire purpose of purchasing one of these combo boxes is to get several items at a bargain price. When you forgot to include an item that is supposed to be part of the combo box, you are failing at your job, you are failing the customer, and you are demeaning the reputation of Taco Bell from the perspective of the customer.
The Luxe Cravings Box also sealed shut with some type of sticker/tape that they put across it once they have loaded it with your food. This made it very difficult to check the accuracy of the order at the drive-thru window. I was able to verify that I received all of the other items that were supposed to be in my order, but I could not quickly look through the box, since it was sealed up. Also, it took the employees about 6 minutes to finish getting my order together once I paid at the window and was waiting. During this time, the drive thru line built up behind me and I was feeling rushed to hurry up and move one once I finally got my order.
I found an even bigger problem once I got home and started eating my food. My mexican pizza had a long blonde hair in it. I have short brown hair, so I knew it was not my hair. Finding the hair in my food immediately made me lose my appetite. There should be no reason for finding hair in your food at a fast food establishment. It is the manager's responsibility to ensure that optimal food handling and cleanliness practices are being followed. I'm not sure if you need to implement some type of hair coverings or require employees to wear their hair in a certain way, but it is unacceptable for hair to end up in a customer's food. Food should be triple checked to ensure quality before being packaged for the customer. This experience will stick in my mind for some time and I plan to avoid Taco Bell in the future. Taco Bell used to be a location where you would get value for your money. The prices of items have increased significantly in recent years. I do not mind paying the higher prices, but along with that I expect a quality product. Taco Bell, or at least this Pontoon Beach, Illinois location is not delivering a quality product. If you value your hard earned money and if you expect quality food, prepared with proper sanitary practices that does not have hair in it, I would avoid this place...
Read moreIf you've ever watched Review Bruh on YouTube, he pretty well nails Taco Bell's coffin shut regularly, and with good reason. Before COVID hit, it was always hit or miss with Taco Bell, after COVID let up, 96% of the time it's a total miss. Could almost guarantee if you go through the drive-thu, you WILL go home and receive the wrong preparation of your food. You could expect dry tortilla shells on your burritos. Sparse amounts of ingredients placed in those dry shells. A cheesy Cantina chicken grilled taco? Seven out of 10 times, cheese hasn't even been melted to the shell, and it will only be on one side of the shell. He used to buy a chili cheese burrito, and it felt like 1 lb in your hand, now it's about the size of three fingers placed together. I figured I would order extra beef, extra cheese, an extra red sauce in mine, the only thing that that did, was back the price up another $7!! My wife ordered dinner for me and her, and the price was $47!!! The food was cold, the cheese not melted, and to make up for the lack of chicken on the tacos, they just piled on the Chipotle sauce, that shot out of the shell, not unlike an excited teenager boy on prom night...all over my wife's chin and face. Let's be real here, people most likely will not stop going to Taco Bell, because it's a local place to stop to get munchies in the middle of the night, when you take too many edibles. By that point you just don't care. But for us who are just trying to get a quick hot meal after a hard day's work, and you get home, open the bag, and see what a mess it is, you might as well have announced the death of the family. Come on Taco Bell, Fire the losers, pay a few more bucks an hour, and get America's finest! No more DEI!! I promise if you provide us with quality food, prepared correctly, your profits will increase tenfold. Or keep going around you on, and Amazon can start delivering their take on Mexican food right to our doors with their drones! You have...
Read moreWe placed our order for 7 combos on the app. We placed the order to eat inside. Got to the store to find the doors locked. We went to the drive-thru to get our order. We waited in the line for 30 minutes before we got to the speaker. Once at the speaker, the worker was rude when i told her we had an online order. We pulled up to get our order. (Notification from the app told us was ready over 20 minutes prior.) Once at the window, the worker told us a total. I reminded her that I placed my order on the app. She then rolled her eyes and slammed the window in my face. I then asked for a manager she was not happy with that, so she was yelling, "What did I do? I pointed out her rudeness over something that was not my fault. The manager came and was also rude. We asked for a refund before getting our food, and they refused. They gave us the wrong order and refused to correct it. She told me to call corporate. The manager refused to give her name for when I call corporate. Then she told us we were holding up their line. If I didn't leave the drive thru, they would call the police. I have contacted corporate, and they will be contacting the store manager for the cameras...
