Montgomery's — Restaurant in Pontotoc

My son and I just left Montgomery's. I get to the car and look over my receipt wondering why my bill was $60.13. So this was my bill: 2 Sunday Menu: $39.98 I asked my waitress if I could get a to go box for the leftover food that I thought was already paid for when I ordered it the first time but I was charged $7.99 for it. I'm assuming they were going to throw it out because it was leftovers so to charge me for food that I thought I'd already payed for is RIDICULOUS!!! I paid for this food twice!!! And I'm NOT HAPPY about it at all. I came close to going back inside and giving the food back and getting my mo ey back. No one ever told me I'd be charged to get the leftovers to go and I did ask the waitress. She brought back my to go tray, said nothing about a charge and I assumed it was okay to take it. Sales tax was 9%-$4.32....and I left a tip of $7.84. Didn't want to but the young girl was a good waitress for us. Over all the food and service was good but I'm still not happy about the amount I had to pay. Sorry, but I won't be back. Too...

There was a nice vibe upon entering the restaurant. At least for a few seconds. Then I lost my footing when I backed up to move away from the door as a staff member greeting us informed us they were at capacity and it would be a couple of minutes before a table was available. That's when I almost fell down the stairs that are on the inside left of the door. There was a gate there but of course it was open. We found out later there is a bar downstairs. There is no signage, No color strip or anything else there to warn the patron that there is wood colored stair leading to a dark underground space. On a positive, the manager did inquire what could have been done to prevent anyone else from having this experience. The hamburger steak and salads were great, generous portions. Was Excited to try this place for our very first time. Heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant. Arrived a little after 11:15 place was already packed. When I told the hostess I had a party of 4 and a baby I was told it was going to be a wait. I expecting such asked her if she needed my name as I instructed her we would gladly wait and she refused to take my name or place me in order of wait list. So if you have a great business with too many patrons just continue to let your hostess mistreat your guests as ours did today. You’ll soon not have too many customers that you don’t care...
