Yamato Steak House Of Japan — Restaurant in Pontotoc

This was our first time visiting a Japanese Steakhouse. We were glad to see it was spotless and very well kept. We were seated at a comfortable space with soft and sturdy chairs. Our server was Hunter, if you get a chance ask for his section. He was knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk to. We started out with a diet coke and sweet tea, crab rangoon and fried calamari. All were beyond our expectations. The soda was fresh and fizzy. The Tea had a great balance of flavors. We moved on to our main course the imperial dinner and octopus sashimi. If you haven't had octopus, this is the place to try it. The shrimp, chicken and steak paired perfectly with the vegetables and fried rice. A side salad and soup came with the dinner. Our choice for soup was onion but miso was also available. The salad was great. I've never had onion soup like this before. It is flavorful and thin much like a broth. We finished the meal off in a fine manner. Vanilla ice cream tempura was our choice. A thin layer of cake surrounding a large portion of ice cream. Dipped in a perfect tempura batter and fried. I order from here often but never again. The price they charge online may be different when you get to the window. Honestly it depends on what day it is and if they feel like lying or not. Sometimes they charge you for yum yum sauce and sometimes they dont. My biggest issue was a few days ago when I ordered three different rolls online and picked them up. I was excited to get home and eat them, but as I'm eating I realize that the avocado in majority of my sushi rolls was a grayish color and FAR FROM FRESH. The waitress was missing for most of our visit, out of the 4 sushi rolls I ordered only 1 was decent, they were missing ingredients and I was not made aware of that when I ordered I had to actually ask her was something missing when she laughed and said yes then the roll she suggested as a replacement was half done the tempura was still raw and uncooked then she charged me for it after it was supposed to replace the one with the missing ingredients overall I would not recommend and will not be back this was definitely a...
