This place is an amazing hidden gem. I’ve been to countless McDonalds all over the world. I keep coming back to this one with my family. Only used the drive thru these last many years, but it’s state of the art and easy.
The staff, even during COVID, was always fast, friendly and professional. I mean they are trained as well as any typical high school kids being managed by professional managers could be. The non managers all look like they are happy to be there but that working there and that McDonalds will be a great story in their life. The managers seem completely concerned with making sure you have a great experience and not wasting a second of your time.
They clearly offer curb side service too, but I’ve never used it.
But the real stand out of the place is the consistent high quality. Whether because of volume or just good management.... everything, burgers, nuggets, fries... specialty sandwiches or special preparations are all equally hot and fresh. None of the feeling these things were prepared even 20 minutes earlier.
There is no other location nearby I can think of that always impresses. And these folks are so low key, you’d never realize how much effort they must obviously put into it. Reminds me of the best franchised locations of other...

1). I was charged $.32 for a BBQ sauce and then given 4. It’s not like your food quality has improved but prices have and now you are charging for sauces. 2). Clearly you’ve rid yourself of quality control because my unsweetened iced tea was cloudy which means it’s old. 3). The McDouble I ordered in no way resembled the picture 4). The fry’s were greasy and dark, which means you have cleaned or changed out your grease.
I ordered food at the Poolesville location about 4 months ago and was severely disappointed for similar food quality issues. I will never give you any of my hard earned money again and will post this on Google reviews etc. I really loved McDonald’s but clearly profit has overtaken quality and return loyalty. You are a huge organization and losing my business will not impact your bottom line, but at some point you will reach the tipping point and will lose more customers...
Read moreCorrected from one star to three stars because I don't want to make those providing good services look bad. But I still have a big problem. Early in the morning, there is a manager(?) who really doesn't know what he's doing. And this is a repeating experience. This morning my mobile order via app disappeared. Once inquired, this manager said they didn't receive it. Then, the natural course of action is to receive the missing order again in person. Instead, he looked at me like a lost child and walked back. The kiosk was not available, and no cashier showed up in five minutes. I, who initially ordered via mobile app, walked away without anything I wanted. I am not interested in doing any more business with this place...
