Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Poquoson

This has to be one of the most disappointing things that I've been looking forward to for a long time. For taking more than 3 years to even open the store up this should have been better figured out. Somehow it still feels like there has been absolutely zero training here whether by corporate for the managers, or by the managers for the employees.

My order was delayed while my cashier tried to figure out a coupon for a free milkshake (from corporate website) which then a manager came by to try to figure out. Then, the second manager, also doing no good. finally, a third employee came by and let me know I could only redeem it as an online order. Thats all fine and well, BUT these idiots decide to ring me up for my order, sans milkshake, give me the wrong order once its my turn, THEN TAKE BACK THE FOOD THEY GAVE ME AFTER I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BAG. I was then given the correct food, which was far more mediocre than I expected, with the exception for the tots which lived up to what a tater tot should be.

About midway through my meal, clueless manager #1 calls to me from behind the counter waving a milkshake around. I tell him I didn't end up ordering or paying for one, so I don't know why he made one. He then leaves it behind the counter for the next person to order one.

incredibly disorganized, incredibly poor mannered management, incredibly poorly trained. A spectacular disappointment I and all my friends will not be returning to.

Me and a friend tried this place for the first time yesterday evening and it was awful. We ordered and saw the sign next to the register that said they usually take about 15 minutes which I was happy to wait! We sat down and waited. Over 30 minutes went by before either of our names were called. When we both collected our food, we saw that the patties are very VERY thin. Which was not what I was expecting with the price of the sandwich. They got my friends order wrong as well. We both bit into our burgers and agreed that it just didn’t taste very good. I also tried some of his fries and they were cold and soggy. We walked back up to the counter with our food to ask for a refund. And in the time we were waiting for the manager, 2 other people canceled their orders. When we told him our issues he said that when things get stressful he tells people to “walk out” and he also claimed it was late. It was 5:30 when we ordered. I would highly recommend! My husband and I ate here for the first time this evening and loved our meal! We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger and Chicken Bacon Ranch (lettuce) bowl. We waited about 10 minutes for a super fresh and satiating meal! We loved both entrees - the burger was hot and juicy and the bowl was light and fresh with tender, perfectly cooked chicken. I personally liked how well balanced the bowl was. We also split the Brownie milkshake which was just another reason we will be back! The milkshake was topped with large brownie chunks but there were also plenty of brownie bits mixed into the shake. All of the staff were respectful, courteous, and friendly!
