Lily John Seafood — Restaurant in Port Arthur

This place is a hole in the wall. A hidden seafood restaurant that has the best catfish I have EVER eaten which is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. The fried shrimp not so much, just plain every day fried shrimp. 3 very small shrimp for what you pay for. The shrimp eggroll I ate was terrible. They threw the shrimp shell and all into the mixture they stuff the eggroll with. I bit down and was speared on the roof of my mouth with the entire tail of the shrimp which they didn't bother to remove from the shrimp along with legs. Most of my eggroll was shrimp shell and the charged $2 for that nasty thing. It went in the trash. If you go just order the catfish. That was good. The rest not so much. They sure can improve the looks of the place too. It was an ugly, dumpy place. I will only order catfish if I ever go again which I doubt. There are a lot of other places...

Food was good, service was beyond horrible. I walked up to counter where a man was sitting behind the counter playing on his phone. No problem, I gave hime a minute to get out of his phone, he still never greeted me. Finally I asked him if I should ring the bell, that got him up. So he takes my order and I sit to wait in my food. Another couple was already sitting and waiting for their prepared food, when their food, which was only a bowl of gumbo, he left it sitting on the pass-thru until my order popped up as well, then he got up from his phone again to bag their food then mine. Horrible customer service. From ordering over the phone to picking food up. Worker was mad because they put onions on my food when i said i didn't want them and refused to take the food after they just picked it off. And as i was walking out made a smart remark. My bun on my burger was old. Don't waste your time or money here. These people don't care about customers or their job...
