Bistro 163 — Restaurant in Port Clinton

We found this amazing place by searching for gluten free options for our family trip. We are so thankful we ran across it. Everything was top notch. Even our teens were highly impressed, indicating that the food, service, and atmosphere was very classy.

Two of us had the grilled cheese on GF bread. Easily the best grill cheese we have had. (And I make a mean grill cheese lol 🙂) Restaurant grill cheese is often disappointing, but this one far exceeded our expectations.

We got the tomato bisque soup with the grill cheese. Again, absolutely incredible! It was thick, flavorful, and sprinkled with lovely tiny tomato bits.

This is the first place we have been able to order a GF grilled chicken sandwich and it was well worth the wait.

We live about 3 hours away and we are already making plans to be able to return. It's a real treat to have access to amazing gluten free food.

This is one of my favorite little gems of a restaurant. First, the food is just outstanding! Our family split the the Spinach Artichoke Flatbread, Pecan Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Burger, Grilled Cheese - and each was absolutely delightful - flavorful with their own unique flair! Second, the service was just amazing. We had a volunteer couple serving us and they chatted with us about the local community, the concept for the restaurant, and were absolutely wonderful to meet. It felt like coming over to your best friends house for dinner - warm and inviting! And lastly - their approach to the community - from sustainable foods to their 'pay it forward' concept with suggested meal prices is just a wonderful way to come together as a community. This is a pay it forward restaurant with suggested prices which will provide a meal to anyone. Serves lunch 5x week and community dinners 2x month. Has space for special events and catering. Servers are volunteers. Had a great lunch 2x soup tomato basil and tuscan bean, a burger (yummy and savory) with chips, a grilled cheese sandwich, a flatbread with chicken, bacon, strawberries and balsamic glaze. Food was great and servers were attentive. Wish I had room to try dessert. This place is in Sutton Center...strip mall right before 163 entrance to route 2 Where Ottawa County offices are. Worth a drive to do a good deed ..they also have other sandwiches, flatbreads, quiches and salads...many items are local produce so...
