The Sonic in New Port Richey, FL has completely RUINED their milkshake menu. Their food, other than the hot dogs, is just so-so; but that awesome milkshake menu they've had for years is the main reason why my wife, mother-in-law, and I have been loyal return customers for several years now.
The menu is missing several of their best shakes, such as the coconut, pineapple, and banana shakes are gone, along with many others. This is a travesty, and obviously another corporate decision in an effort to squeeze each and every penny until it screams and bleeds...
Mark my words, if Sonic doesn't fix this, and bring back the old milkshake menu; within a year or so they'll just be another bankrupt, has-been organization, gone the same routes as Burger Chef, Burger Queen, Dee's Drive-in, BBF, Chi-Chi's, GC MURPHY and Company, and along with a whole list of now-defunct other companies, corporations, and restaurants over the years.
Personal Note to the Sonic Corp. Board of Directors: Your company is experiencing a downward trend in revenue recently, according to Wikipedia, almost $25 million dollars or more over the past few years. And just like every other fast-food franchise that's starts experiencing financial problems, the first thing that all of you do is start screwing around with the menu. You drop your tried-and-true menu items that are great sellers, and instead go along with the "tree huggers", getting rid of the tried-and-true menu items, in favor of a $5.99 leaf of lettuce, all because you're afraid 100 or 200 hippies might be offended
And the next thing you know, you find your businesses in a downward spiral, following the directions of RadioShack, Payless Shoe Source, Sears, JC Penny, Toys 'R Us, and etc. (See also the partial list of failed businesses above).
So pretty please, with sugar on top, don't make the stupid decisions, following the same routines as the "losers", bring back the full milkshake menu and enjoy the continued revenue you once enjoyed, but. are now missing from your regular, milkshake-loving customers.
As for myself and my family, if you do not bring back the old milkshake menu, we will be forced to drive about a mile or so up the road, and enjoy the choices Dairy Queen has to offer.
Don't make the...
Read moreMatt smith is a horrible general manager! Several times I have gone to this store and all I see him doing is oggling the younger female staff. My understanding from the old general manager is that this man was fired from his last job for sleeping with an under age employee. He only hires underaged females for car-hops, some that do not even do their jobs properly, because he likes to look at the way they are. He is also a very bad liar and makes everyone around him feel like they are stupid. I have complained to him and he has always blames it on the other workers saying they are incompetent and they will be handled. If the employees dont know how to do their jobs because their general manager does not know how to train them then how is it the employees fault. The only good manager there was cassie. She always made me feel like I was important and handled all her employees like they should be handled and never blamed anyone for a mistake if she didn't know whos fault it was. I will never go to this store ever again after I heard how they fired her for a complaint made by a customer because she could not shut down the store do to there being dairy products on some of the equipment and then after Matt smith told her to lie and she didn't, they fired her. Matt smith will be the reason this store is shut down he does not know how to deal with his employees or customers and they do themost stupid thing and fire the only person keeping that store from falling. I hope that karma comes and takes you for all...
Read moreDon't ever expect to receive a correct order here. I stopped going to this location a long time ago after repeated orders being wrong. I figured after some time things had to have changed so gave them another shot. First 2 orders through Door Dash I had no issues. I went the next time to pick an order up. I told them in the parking spot I was there. I sat there for 25 minutes (not kidding), but figured maybe they were short handed. A worker came out and said whoever was dealing with my pickup forgot. I was then given cold food that was already made and sitting out because the employee forgot. They didn't make the sandwich as requested.
I then tried Door Dash again since I had better luck. I ordered their new smash burger without the sauce on it as there's mustard in it and I have a major allergy to it. I asked for ketchup instead.
I receive my order, fries were cold and old and the sandwich? Yup, totally ignored everything and just made it as it comes.
I swear this location hires the worst people who can't read or follow instructions. The outside looks so run down, menus look horrible, etc. I dont know who owns this location, but they should be ashamed. Either put some money into making the place look decent or close it. Whoever the manager is clearly doesn't care either.
I won't be going back after the...
