Negative 4 Stars!! We are fairly new to area and recently received advertisement in mail from this restaurant but with different name "rebranded" as "Romano's Pizza Grill" after a quick search found that Savannah Pizza Company and Romano's shares same address and therefore assume to be same place.
Wife works at Gulf Stream and was heading home and I mentioned advertisement to her so we decided to try their pizza. I called in order and she picked up. In the advertisement there was a special 2 Large 5 toppings pizzas and 2 liter bottle of soda for $24.99. So we ordered Large Supreme on hand tossed crust and Large Ham and Cheese pizza on NY style crust. When she got home first thing I noticed was she did not have 2 liter bottle of soda, I asked her where it was and she said that they didn't give her one and did not mention she was suppose to get one even though it was clearly one of there specials on advertisement, but I figure just soda no big deal, Ill let it go. We opened pizza boxes and I noticed that the Ham & Cheese was not NY style crust, it was hand tossed as NY style is suppose to be thin and pizza clearly wasn't. 3rd a final strike was the ham on the Ham and Cheese pizza was spoiled and I mean REALLY spoiled. After her taking a bite and spiting out and I taking bite to confirm and spitted it out We instantly threw the entire pizza in trash can outside. I can't believe they didn't notice as pizza even smelt horrible.
So I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the Manager and after a few minutes a gentleman came on and asked how could he help me. I asked him his name and he identified himself as "Christian". I told him the numerous issues with our order and his response was that he was "sorry about that, and would go back into our order and take 50% off our order", and I responded you mean just take off the pizza we had to throw into the trash off our bill? Never mind the missing soda, wrong crust, spoiled pizza and the fact we're now making the kids mac & cheese for dinner cause we didn't know we'd need a back up plan after ordering from this place!
Now here's the kicker, I'm old school, grew up in the 80's in grand scheme of things no biggie was STILL gonna let it go and I HATE writing ridiculous reviews but here we are and didn't even get the bad pizza charge off our bill. You got it, "Christian" never gave us the 50% off, I just paid $13 and change so this restaurant could have my wife pick up a rancid pizza that we had to throw in our outdoor garbage can cause it was so bad. Thanks for nothing Romano's or Savannah Pizza Company, which ever name your going by and to the "Manager" Christian, even though is was poor compensation your word apparently means "jack s#@t"........To everyone who takes the time to read, apologies for the "book", I like to be thorough and for the censored fowl language.....Do what you want but we will be avoiding this place. In case you were wondering why -4 stars instead of -5, only because ham was soo spoiled we noticed right away and didnt eat and get food poisoning. Be...
Read moreWhere to begin!?? We placed an order last night around 7 pm to support one of the few local restaurants that deliver to our location. The girl that took our order was very pleasant, said it would be 45-60 minutes. Around 8:30pm we call back since our order hadn't arrived. The staff member on the phone apologized and informed us that the delivery guy dropped the pizza's, but another delivery was on the way. We understood and thanked her for informing us. At around 9:20pm we call back with still no pizza delivered, only to be met by the rudest "customer service" (if you can call it that!). The girl on the phone proceeds to tell us that they have no order for our address, no explanation and no apology. We inform her that we've been waiting on an order since 7pm, were told someone dropped our order and a new one was on the way. She plainly says that there's no paper or order for our address and she can take a new order if we want pizza... Now, I have a hangry toddler, which I have to feed way past her bedtime, as we waited for pizza to arrive. We explain that we have been waiting for our pizza for more than 2 hours now, we were told about the dropping incident, and understood, but that this was a bit confusing since we spoke to someone earlier. Not an apology is uttered. We ask to speak to the manager, which also has no customer service skills, doesn't even apologize, and says that they'll throw some milk and cookies in the order if we want to place an order. Now, I am a very understanding person, I know that the current covid-19 situation has made things a bit more complicated, but at this point I am livid that neither the staff nor the manager have the slightest ounce of manners to apologize for their mistake and obvious lack of customer service skills. We explained that at this point they can cancel the order we had placed 2+ hours ago, and that they should really learn something about customer service and apologize when they make a mistake. Definitely will no longer be ordering from...
Read moreI have ordered dinner for my family from this place 3-4 times, each time wanting to be optimistic that "they will get it right", as I have called them twice afterwards providing them with feedback nicely to no avail. Their Gyros are delivered containing unwashed, wilted romaine lettuce, always, and half the time they forget to include the gyro white tzatziki sauce in the order; same goes for always forgotten RANCH DRESSING for your Side Garden Dinner Salad!! Their fries used to be crinkle cut and due to delivery delays were always soggy and spongy, limp french fries, while now on this last order, the fries have been switched to straight cut fries with overbearing, heavy handedness on the spicy salt seasoning like "the cook" unscrewed the seasoning salt lid and straight poured it on the fries, all caked in the styrofoam corners of the dinner box!! This came with the Angus Burger which had cheese on it... not advertised on the menu as a CHEESEBURGER, but on their menu as AN ANGUS BURGER....and forgot the TOMATO as described on their menu....albeit the Angus CHEESE burger was decent.....their Coleslaw HOWEVER...is horrendous, avoid like something serious!! Overall, poor Restaurant and Kitchen Management of EXPOing the orders , and I should know, I'm GREEK and my Father had 5 Drive-in, Luncheonette, Fast Food Restaurants from 1943 until 1968 that are still in operation to this Day. I've also worked in the Fast Food Restaurants myself, and know that for me to "take the time to write this review is purely" because no one has listened to me when I have called them directly. Harry...
