Pho Le Vy | Vietnamese Noodle House — Restaurant in Porterville

We gave the newly opened Pho Le Vy in Porterville a try and while the food was genuinely delicious, there were a few bumps in the experience. One issue worth mentioning right away — I was charged $5 for extra meat that should’ve been included in my House Special Pho. Due to a miscommunication, I was first served the Rare Steak Pho instead, and though they eventually brought out the correct meat cuts, it took some time and I was still charged for it, which was frustrating given it was their mistake.

That aside, the food itself was really good. We had the Rocket Shrimp, Pho, and took a Bun Bo Hue to-go — all packed with flavor and very satisfying.

Service was a bit slow, likely due to being short-staffed, and a few menu items weren’t available yet, but that didn’t bother us too much. We understand they’re still getting things up and running.

Hopefully, they work out the kinks as they get more established, because the food itself does...

The food here is exceptional. I sampled the egg rolls, which were outstanding—perfectly balanced in flavor without being overly salty or greasy, unlike those from many other establishments. The texture stood out as well; each layer was crisp and delicately golden, indicating a well-executed preparation.

The ambiance is equally impressive. The setting features calm, mellow music at a comfortable volume, enhancing the relaxed atmosphere. The space is impeccably clean and designed with a blend of traditional pho restaurant elements and modern home aesthetics. While there may be a brief 10–15 minute wait, it’s a testament to the fact that the dishes are prepared fresh to order.

Service was warm and respectful. The establishment appears to be family-run, and although the staff may not be particularly chatty, their demeanor is consistently courteous and sincere, which adds to the welcoming feel of...

Im only rating it 1 star because it wont let me rate it a zero. Horrible Horiible service! Showed up and ordered, waited 30 minutes; then a family came in after us, they ordered, 10 min later their order came out before ours and we are still waiting for our order.
