Anania's Variety Store — Restaurant in Portland

I really like the head one's. I usually like the atmosphere. One night maybe she had a bad day, was argumentative. I will go there, but not sure the food has been really inconsistent, tasting bad. I bought a calzone one night close to closing , but before ovens would get shut off. Regulars weren't there. It tasted awful for the first time sauce was either burnt tasted tinny. I dumped out their sauce to dip, but then I've had 2 awegul veggie Italians. One $9 1 50 extra for cheese, I forgot they use extra on veggie. I asked for light lettuce no olives gave me no lettuce olives cheese all messy really not much extra cheese,then I ordered one more everything. I asked for was on it, but I ate a tomato tasted like watery or weird and oil tasted funky. I'm not wasting money, or if a regular is making it. I'll get pizza slices, if they look fresh. I always ordered really liked their food. I'd love to give them a 5, because the ones in...

For a quick bite this place sucks. You place an order and you wait 20 minutes or more and on top of that you get the crappiest customer service ever (especially from the cashier). They disrespect, and discriminate against anybody out of the ordinary to the point that prepared dishes like pizza have sauce bowls smashed in the center of your dish YOU PAYED FOR, or you wait nearly more than half an hour rather than the 15 minutes they always say it will take, while they serve others in front of you. If anything the workers need to be fired or strongly reprimanded. This place is a disgrace of an Ananias shop and an utter disappointment.

Although the food is ok I moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago I spend 20 to 50 dollars a day if not food its lottery the sad thing is when I order food they always make the make me wait at least 20 mins to a half hour Before taking my order I've tried to fix the problem by calling ahead I watch people come and go everyday even though I got there first! Now shity part of all this is I'm stuck in a wheel chair and there is no way for me to get into the store because you have to step up I have asked the works several times in the last two years about telling the owner to build a ramp but I always get the same answer that's "oh we'll tell em" as they laugh and go back into the store!
