Amazing ramen noodles. Edamame 🫛 was absolutely killer! Kim chi was great, little tongue tickle and perfect spice. Loved the food and service!
I did have an issue with a specific server named Tyler. Who acted like he needed to tell everyone when they can eat and what they can eat and how to "not touch servers" when I said thank you to a waitress and put out my hand for a handshake and she shook my hand and said thank you very much. It was a very awkward interaction dealing with Tyler. As I want to invite more people to eat here, it seems that Tyler thinks it's his establishment and place to tell others how to "behave".
I was respectful through and through and have never dealt with a server treating myself and others this way, as they/them, Tyler, made multiple comments about other people eating at the establishment. The people next to me, as he mentioned said that the lady was having a terrible experience because of the guy the came in next to me.... He was a great person and that made zero sense, the next guy that walked in was awesome and we had a great conversation, yet again Tyler had 'something' to say about him and said he made "his waitress" feel awkward, which made no-sense as this guy was totally respectful as well.... and then, a couple (two guys) that he said were hitting on him so he "made their date awkward".
I love the food but do not feel safe eating here again after this...
Read moreFat Kitty is casual, cozy, and comforting like your favorite hoodie in restaurant form. The restaurants atmosphere was cool and welcoming. The broth was flavorful, the meat was hearty, and the noodles were tasty. This place was an overall win.
I came with an appetite, and end up getting 4 dishes. I started with the Okonomiyaki Tots. Just regular tater tots but looked like they were alive, watch the video I posted. It was interesting but cool haha. Also got the potstickers, they were fried and had crispy edge and went well with the homemade sauce they provide. I got the spicy red miso with an extra serving of noodles. It was about a 5 out 10 on the spice level, I’m sure anybody can handle it. My favorite part was the soft poached egg. My friend got the vegetable curry, with a serving of pork belly. I would say hers was better than mine. From our point of view it was creamier than mine.
The customer service here was spectacular. Our waitress Emma, was on it with her service. She was patient with us as we studied the menu, and recommended things to try. She also was very attentive and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and the food. I hope you get lucky enough to get her. Parking was rough but what can you do. If you’re going into the city this is what you get. Don’t let that deter you from going to try this place. ...
Read moreIt was all great! We've attended many performances across the street at the Alberta Rose Theater and have peaked into the windows of this restaurant, so this evening we thought we would give it a try before the show. We arrived around 4:30 and the place was filling up by the time we finished. It's clean and beautifully styled in a casual Asian flare. The menu is simple but could satisfy most hungry beings with their ramen, bowls, and plate options. We started with the cucumber-avocado salad, which was delicious and plenty ample for two to share. Then, onto the pork filled potstickers. This order came with 5 and was perfectly crispy and hot with a savory filling, along with a spot-on dipping sauce. Onto main dishes... my mom went with the teriyaki chicken bowl and myself with the curry vegetable ramen. Both were excellent. I can't have noodles or rice right now, but there were plenty of veggies along with the savory broth that it was perfect for me. The pot sticker dipping sauce was so yummy that my mom wanted it for her teriyaki bowl, of which they accommodated her request. Portions were good, and the service was great. Many stopped by the table to ask how everything was. We enjoyed the music that was so unexpected for a ramen place. Kudos... we will be back to...
