My first experience at Royal Arabic Cuisine food cart was delightful! I was greeted with a smile and an offer to walk me through the menu. I of course accepted and holy moly, I was served multiple samples so I knew what all the flavors would be for my base. This helped me decide and I landed on Zerbian rice combo which came with:
•Salad, loaded with veggies and a bright citrus vinaigrette dressing with hints of mint (amazing) • Hummus & Pita, smooth textureand not grainy at all, just the way I like it. • Zerbian rice full of cardamom and saffron spices. They also included roasted almonds to pour over the top which added rich warm flavors. •Lamb which was cooked to perfection great flavor, fall off the bone •Tzatziki sauce which surprised me. There were shredded carrots along with cucumbers in it which gave it real fresh veggie flavor. The carrot overpowered the cucumber. •Beef sambosa, this paired with their hot salsa was chefs 💋 I loved this! I’m a big fan of spicy sauces which are flavorful not just heat and this one was medium spicy and didn’t burn your tastebuds. It was really a perfect pairing! •Baklava cheesecake, 🤯 party in my mouth, I’m trying to figure out the flavor which is forward and orange flower blossom is coming to mind. I’ve never had anything like this and I’ll tell ya, I’m not mad about it! I would order an entire cheesecake for a special bday occasion.
Since it was cold, I was so generously offered a tea while I waited in my car. I was so appreciative because I was chilled. The tea was like a dessert in a cup. It was very sweet.
They are located in a parking lot on a very busy road; I would recommend getting your food to go.
The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is due to ambience, there isn't really any seating opportunity. The food and customer service is a...
Read moreI had the pleasure of trying Royal Arabic Cuisine for the first time yesterday, and it was an unforgettable experience. I ordered the Special Royal Dish, paired with a refreshing cucumber-lemon-mint juice, and finished with their incredible cheesecake baklava. The flavors were outstanding … the rice was perfectly seasoned, filled with ground beef and aromatic spices. It honestly felt like the best plate I’ve had in all of Portland.
The food was so amazing that I went back again today (two days in a row!) This time, I ordered the Zorbiyan, which came with baba ghanouj, fattoush salad, and a beef samosa. The samosa was straight out of the fryer (fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious). I paired the meal with a sweet mango juice and ended with a stunning dessert: sweet rice topped with pistachios and delicate flower petals, infused with the aroma of flower water. The flavor was unique, fragrant, and absolutely unforgettable.
Every dish is freshly prepared with care, not reheated, and the quality is unmatched. I truly can’t get enough of this place.
If you’re in Portland and looking for authentic Arabic cuisine, I highly recommend Royal Arabic Cuisine—you won’t be disappointed!
Next week I am definitely planning to go again .. thnx for a...
