El Jalisco — Restaurant in Portland

Food was acceptable, but I need to say this from the rooftops:

DOUBLE👏CHECK👏THE👏ORDERS 👏YOU👏ARE👏GIVING👏YOUR 👏CUSTOMERS.

This is the 4th time we have gotten incorrect orders from the window, and it's unacceptable. I wouldn't mind if I got chicken instead of beef, or something else mundane went wrong, but I got an ENTIRELY different item than what was ordered. AND it was CHEAPER than what I ordered, too. So, not to get too into the weeds on this, but it's essentially tantamount to theft...plus I got something I didn't want, and in some cases for others, probably can't even eat.

The burritos also were unmarked, so I'm also sure that contributes to continuing mix ups. But I can't tell you how disappointing it is to be excited for a chicken burrito supreme, only to get home and find out that it's a BREAKFAST BURRITO THAT COSTS $4 LESS.

Until this place gets its act together, I recommend you avoid. There's carelessness, and then there's just wanton ignorance towards your customers when this is happening for a 4th time. I'd return the uneaten portion, but at the moment it's not tenable or...

So happy to have found El Jalisco en mi neighborhood. I’ve been aqui about cinco times. I want to bring me madre for take out. There is no reason to ever give my money to a chain such as no muchas gracias! The verde sauce is muy bueno! They offer Jalisco soda pop, ice tea and others. Really clean atmosphere and a picnic table. The temperature is correct, the cheese melts! I like to watch them work together as a team, muy profesional y each do different steps mientras otro oversees. They’re located right off Barbur Boulevard and the exit around S.W. 26th then drive under Barbur by the FM gas station to swing around south. It’s easy to get to, or, just pass muchas gracias y take a U turn and PASS A1 Mufflers, head north & merge to rt lane, don’t miss the side turn off! Yummy!! Gracias Señor’s!! First time here, we ordered two burritos (breakfast and supreme -chicken-), the last one had lots of chicken muscle/bones and I was like “ok” (I’m Mexican and I don’t complain for that ☺️) anyhow, when I was about to finish my burrito I chewed a big piece of plastic 🥺🥺🥺 ‼️ My boyfriend went to the window and showed the plastic to the guy and kindly asking for the money back. The guy said “I can give you food but no money back!!” —We were like: sorry but I don’t want to eat there anymore 😞 Also, he ended up giving us the money of the cost of that burrito and said: “oh, you for sure need the money” (basically called us broke) and handed the cash. This was so rude and I felt little sad. I read in the reviews that the guy has different moods throughout the day, the attitude matters dude!
