Shawarma Express — Restaurant in Portland

I was visiting from Canada and knew places like this could be a gamble because some card readers decline my Canadian debit card. I asked the owner if he took debit and he said yes so I ordered. Once it was ready I tried to pay and of course it gets declined. Well lucky me I planned ahead and brought a credit card with me as well that works literally everywhere I’ve been, but it was also declined. Now I haven’t mentioned that in this process the server was whispering words under his breath, possibly out of anger, it didn’t seem friendly and when the second card was declined he absolutely flipped his lid! Shouting and berating me infront of tons of people that I’m trying to scam him and I’m a thief. I said I was happy to try the card again to pay for it. And he grabbed the wrap and started waving it around like crazy yelling that this was a $7 loss! He demanded I went to the ATM and I told him I refused if he was going to continue to yell at me, he continued yelling while I walked away, it was a very shocking and unwelcoming experience. Thankfully two food trucks down made me a delicious wrap and their reader accepted my first card within a couple seconds. Ever since i pointed out that the menu in their cart listed inaccurate prices (their dessert was listed at 6 dollars and i was charged 7) ive been getting small burnt portions in my saj, like half the portions. My friend orders the same thing all the time and gets huge portions. I only get to eat here once a week so its very disappointing to get such poor treatment. Maybe its because im a woman, maybe its because they dont like being called out on their pricing discrepancies. Just be aware that what you see wont be what you get. I also checked to see if they had updated the price on their desert and it had no price at all. Very sketchy.

Been at this cart yesterday and apparently there was no internet, so the guy at the cart couldn't use the Credit card machine and instead of asking for cash (which I had), he plainly and bluntly denied to sell any food.

When I enquired why he wouldn't take cash and ask for it instead, he was like I don't have time for it, I am busy (when there was no other customer at the cart and I was the only one). That was one of the rudest answers and attitude I have seen at a food cart so far.

This guy had a very rude attitude from the beginning, not sure if he is like that with all the customers or certain ethnicities.

Its not just about Food, Manners and Hospitality matters a lot in a Restaurant business, definitely wouldn't recommend this Food cart or there food to anyone after...
