Starbucks — Restaurant in Portland

Great staff, very personable and friendly. I brought my 16yo to get his hair cut at sport cuts in the north gate plaza and while he was getting his ears lowered my almost 3yo and I enjoyed buying a few gifts from the little shop's, and of course when we walked by the Starbucks door he said " pease mama we doe in deer ta buy sumfin peaseee" so we go in and was greeted by a loved and super kind young lady who showed him a show case of snacks he had asked for lol and he choose a cake pop and apple juice, she was so patient and soft spoken to him and it make the experience wonderful for him, we will make it a habit to stop in for snacks and a drink when we are in the area. Since the beginning of COVID when the north gate star bucks reopened the bathrooms have been closed I went there almost a year ago and when I tried to use the bathroom the lady behind the counter practically jumped over the counter to try to stop me from using it because it was for COVID and I didn’t buy anything then and it took me a year to go back and when I did I was stopped again because of COVID I didn’t purchase anything then and not today and I don’t think that I will be going back to their again it doesn’t matter what you staff is like or what the circumstances are the bathroom is not a place that...

I live just down the street and used to work in the Plaza. I got to know the lovely Batista's here very well, and the ones that have stayed still known me. It's nice to have a place to go where I'm recognized and can feel comfortable trying new things. Sometimes if I don't know what to get, I ask the barista what their favourite thing to make themselves is. It's usually something a little different from a menu item and they know the ingredients well so they know how to make them work together.
