I came into this Taco Bell just after 11:30 last night and ordered a take out order on one of the restaurants kiosk. Immediately a woman in the kitchen started yelling and asked me why I had ordered when their lobby was closed. I told her I wasn’t aware that the lobby was closed and she essentially told me I was an idiot who couldn’t read. I came in the front door where there was no sign posted that their lobby was closed.
As this woman is yelling from far in the back of the store that I’m an idiot who can’t read and that they shouldn’t bother putting signs up and that she’s going to turn off the kiosk because again I can’t read (there was no sign on the door I came in)
She turns off the kiosk and is still loudly talking about how the signs don’t matter and what not.
The manager who had been in the drive thru window comes over and hands me a cup for the drink I had ordered and I tell him I was sorry and I wouldn’t have ordered if I knew their lobby was closed. He tells me not to worry about it. A few minutes later he hands me my food and this woman is still yelling, so I mention to him that they should probably put a sign on the front door as well.
When I leave I catch sight of the “signs” in the two other doors. They are handwritten in the thinnest pen on printer paper that are hard to see unless your eye catches the paper and reads it. My brain would have simply assumed it was a now hiring sign.
My advice would be to PRINT your signs in the future and make sure it’s visible at all three doors AND eye catching!
I have ordered food here on a semi regular basis is the past but honestly the food quality has only gone downhill and the price has skyrocketed in the last year or so.
Sure enough after this experience I can confidently say that I will not be eating this Taco Bell again, I have thought about not returning in the past with what I can assume are employees children coming in and out of the back door, a car being left on in the parking lot late into the night with children left in it, unclean bathrooms, soda that syrup bags have run so empty that the liquid comes out as soda water. No covers for cups in the lobby, and the sauce table being a mess, there’s a ton of reasons not to visit location, this experience was just the final nail in the coffin. I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt having had worked at this exact location in the past but this...
Read moreI placed a mobile order and when I arrived at the establishment on Washington Ave in Portland Maine it went completely south. I said I had a mobile order for Heather and when I got to the window the girl looked flustered. She asked if I had it under a different name? I said, no, why does this ALWAYS happen?!!" The girl said don't talk to me like that! And I said no, I want the food that I paid for!" I asked for their names and they refused to tell me. Another woman told me it takes 15 minutes for the order to show up and I said, "no it does not because I've placed orders via mobile and had it in 5 minutes so that's a lie." I know for pretty certain it was handed to the person in front of me in drive thru but didn't want to own up and remake the order which I wouldn't have had a problem with. This gentleman named Berland LaPlace got involved and asked what my order was. He proceeded to take my phone and had my order written down and told the other ladies to do something while he was making my order. I asked his name and was polite and he gave me a piece of paper with his name, told me to leave and slammed the drive thru window in my face without giving my money back or my food. Upon leaving he was observed waving and flipping me off. I don't appreciate such behavior and I want my money back since they never gave me my order and I was extremely hungry since I'm pregnant. I will NEVER EVER go to that establishment EVER again after this extremely rude encounter. Those people deserve to be reprimanded...
Read moreOrdered online, when I showed up there were 2 people working, both appeared to be under 20, and they were very overwhelmed. They asked us to come into the lobby because they were "experiencing a high volume of orders". When I got to the lobby the was 3 people waiting for their food. I could see into the kitchen and it looked like a warzone. I'm not sure if someone quit and trashed the place on the way out, but it looked like it. When I finally got my food, everything was incorrect, including anything with meat in it. The portion of protein was maybe three small pieces per item. And, even though I asked for lite sour cream, my entire burrito was filled with sour cream, like a sarcastic amount. I will not be returning to this location for sometime until they address their staffing issues. I can only blame their management as these individuals should never have been left alone in the restaurant because of their lack of training and experience. I will be seeking a refund, because since I ordered on the app, they were unable to issue the refund to me at...
