We used to absolutely love this place. Particularly delicious mac and cheese with tons of options for mix ins. The first thing that started to push us away was the enormous price hikes. All mix ins used to be included but now getting each individual topping costs about a dollar each, in addition to the base mac now increasing in price. Also the quantity of toppings included when you did pay for them was significantly lower than before, really skimping on serving size. What used to cost $15 will now cost literally more than double that (for mac and cheese?!) so we started going much less often. However we definitely won’t ever be going back after our latest experience. Went to pick up our order after a long hike, took it all the way home, and realized that instead of giving us all the veggies and toppings we paid a ton of extra money for, they just gave us plain noodles. Called and asked for a refund. The guy on the phone was nice but transferred us to the manager who was not so accommodating. The manager said it would not be possible to get a refund because there was no record of us having ordered (??) We ordered our food through THEIR website. We asked them to just remake the food, and they said no. Because “there’s no way to prove you ordered from us.” I had to drive back out there with the receipt before they eventually remade it. You charge that much for mac and cheese and then won’t remake it when you give me plain noodles and get the order completely wrong?? This shouldn’t be something we need to argue to management about, if you get the order wrong you should remake it or offer a refund without a fuss. We did end up getting the remade mac, but this place is definitely no longer...

Update Feb 2023: So what I’m reading from other recent reviews it appears ownership has changed but not sure about that. My last order was obviously a different recipe though (been getting the pesto mac/green machine since they first opened)…different pesto, small/less broccoli, still good amount of peas but didn’t matter any way because it had so much sharp cheese & salt that’s all I could taste. Such a shame as the prior pesto mac was so dang good.

The brussel sprouts side was still really good and folks were nice so giving them that. But not sure I would go there for the mac (which means not going) as it’s just too salty and a different flavor I’m just not digging. Bummer.

2022: I’ve been coming to Mac’d since they opened & they’re solidly delicious. Love love love the green machine! I’m glad they’re doing so well now, they seem busy just about any night of the week. I will add however that 2x now I’ve ordered mine with chicken and when I’ve gotten home there was no meat in it. I can see it happening once, mistakes happen during dinner rush, but twice with orders made about a month apart? That’s not good. I hope they can figure out how to more accurately complete their orders cause I still love their food and the workers have always been friendly. Will keep coming back but may have to check my food before...

I loved Mac'd in 2019 and early 2020. The pasta at first, but when I switched to a lower carbohydrate lifestyle, I switched to the cauliflower mac n cheese. It was the best I've ever had! Unfortunately, at some point, as the caulimac was mine and my friends' go to for ordering in, we started noticing a difference in how it is cooked. The cauliflower is never cooked all the way through anymore. Not good for "mac n cheese", and it is hard and crunchy, not soft like you'd want it to be for this dish. There is practically no flavor in this dish, and its become so unappetizing. My mother visited and we bragged about this to her and ordered it. She was very unimpressed and stated it was dry and flavorless and the cauliflower was tough. And this was the first night we noticed a difference. We've begrudgingly tried 3 more times, and spent 30 bucks each go around because we had it delivered. and each time its the same. We take 3ish bites and and that's enough..Sadly, we will no longer be ordering our beloved caulimac from Macd. I can make it exceedingly better, and there are other places dishing it up now as well. So sad! Maybe the...

If you are planning on waiting for your food make sure it’s not pouring down in 40 degree weather! It was so much fun to wait at their dirty tables for our food and be told it would be a 8 minute wait for each dish (3 dishes total) and instead get a 45 minute wait in total! Apparently they decided to just not call our name and go on calling other groups’ names. When we finally got enough sense to check on our order we found it to be just sitting there. The food was very yummy but probably would have been better if the cheese hadn’t solidified due to sitting out. They forgot to input our drink as well but the guy who came to the window (different guy than who took our order) gave us it for free due to the wait which was very nice and a special thank you to him. I was so hungry and cold that I ate some of the lukewarm Mac n cheese in the car but will definitely warm it up more at home to see how much better it tastes. It would be great if they had a heater since they have so many tables outside.

Call ahead - that's my #1 recommendation here. You can eat there or to go, but 90% of people take it to go, and most of them call ahead. So if you order at the window, you are unknowingly actually in a line longer than you think. Each order takes 3-4 minutes to complete or so, so do the math if 5 people called in front of you. That being said, it's about as good as macaroni can be done. The meat lover was delicious. Could have used a little more flavor in the Korean short rib but it was still tender and delicious. Only outdoor seating, and it's not covered, so you'll only want to eat there on nice days. It's right on 99 which can get really noisy, so your best bet is just to take it to-go like everyone else. Portions are relatively heavy so you'll probably have leftovers. I will probably eat there again (but obviously to-go this time).

I paid $60 for three bowls and it was the same size as a kids meal. It’s about the size of a single serving mini frozen pizza. From other Mac and cheese places you’ll get at least double the amount for the same price. Save your money and go to other places where it’s actually worth it. The food wasn’t that bad at all but the container is the size of my hand. So 2/10 because $20 a serving for something that would only fill up a child isn’t worth it. Also I understand businesses wanting to make profit, it’s still getting a little ridiculous. Edit: they have been so mean to other bad reviews and they’ve had a LOT of them. I didn’t know how mean they were to customers. I’m guessing it’s the new ownership who has ran this entire business into the ground. I’ll make sure my viewers don’t make the same mistake.
