Pizza Factory — Restaurant in Portola

The place has definitely improved since the last owner.. But when it comes to the prices it could definitely use an update towards the cheaper side.. and honestly, I've never known a pizza factory that never has any online coupons.. but this location literally never has any sort of online coupons whatsoever.. Then moving on to customer service... Well, in my honest opinion it hit and miss.. sometimes you call or show up and the person taking your order is wonderful and seems to be on point in every aspect of his/her job.. then more times than not you call or show up and end up with a seemingly unhappy and irritated employee taking your order.. and in my own personal experiences there have been times that the person on the other end of the phone could care less about the order being called in and rushes through it all so quickly that when you receive your order wether it was for delivery or pickup, that not only are you missing items, but when looking at the receipt you realize that the items which ordered weren't ever even added to your order.. Then on a separate occasion... After calling in a delivery order for 4 pizzas with the request that all 4 pizzas have white Alfredo sauce (rather than the marinara sauce) due to the fact my husband and one of my daughters have a tomato allergy which causes them to experience extreme stomach pain and nausea... When we received the order luckily my husband realized that all 4 pizzas had regular marinara sauce.. so of course I called in with the intention of letting the person on the other end know of the obvious mistake that had occured.. just to have the woman get upset with me, asking if it was really that big of an issue that I needed them to remake 4 lg pizzas just because the sauce... Of course my reply was yes, it was that big of a deal considering the fact that I ordered specifically due to my husband and daughter having an allergy... Reluctantly, she remade the order. Then to top it off when the elderly woman who delivered our order both times came back with the replacement order she was obviously in tears.. when I asked what was wrong she said that the manager who was the one who took my order said that the 4 pizzas that were incorrect weRe coming out of her pay.. when I asked why she said because she had made them... But again when looking at the receipt for the original delivery it did not state that I had requested white sauce.. so the poor woman had no idea it had been requested.. So, idk .. I think that the new owner is a wonderful person.. but I do believe that they should take more time on watching how the employees treat not only customers, but other employees as well... Just food for thought I guess.. *Update... Since my last review, things have improved.. the employees the have now are much better at paying attention to the or do er and are normally always very friendly and do their best to accommodate the customer.. definitely an upgrade from my original review.. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

I'm currently doing remodeling on my small living space, so right now I'm down to ready to eat food or pb&j (I'm tired of pb&j).....

So I called to see if it would be feasible to possibly get something to pick up for dinner this evening. The phone conversation was 30 seconds long maximum, I hung up at 8:39pm, I understand that that is cutting it very close to closing time. (I have worked in a kitchen before.) But with 22 minutes to close, maybe consider asking the caller what they were thinking about getting then accept or deny from there.

Overall I'm really displeased and frankly disappointed with the service and attitude that has come out of this restaurant as of late. If you don't want customers and you don't want to serve food to hungry patrons, then maybe consider closing permanently.

I don’t know what happened but seems there’s been some recent changes to the way their pizza is made. Word around town is the owners recently made changes and want everything measured out now, and that reduces the quality of pizza factory’s pizza. It’s just terrible now. What used to be worth the price for good pizza is now just bad, it’s dried out pizza with no cheese, no sauce and skimp on the toppings. As loyal customers who spend money on pizza, we’re thinking we won’t be back anymore if this is how they are going to make pizza that cost $27 for a large. And if they go up more, won’t be back still. Go back to making good pizza, Pizza Factory. You got some awesome workers but can’t make pizza the way they used to.
