The Log Cabin — Restaurant in Portola

We live in Portola. This place has pretty good good but the service is pretty slow. Number one you seat yourself and if they are not paying attention to whose turn it is to be your server sometimes you sit there unnoticed. Today we placed our order and waited and waited about 20 minutes and then the people behind us got their food. THEIR waitress noticed our distress and it went to our waitress. She came over without an apology and said your know how it is, she didn't put our order in. No complimentary offer, no discount no nothing. We left. It will be a long time before we go...

What was the worst place I've ever eaten I'm surprised they even got to open the Service the food everything didn't even know how to cook a prime rib was raw when it supposed to be well done and they put it back on a grill and try to fry it who does that. The steak was raw the second time we sent it and they forgot my shrimp that went with it . Re aly . trying to get a glass of water out of them was like might as well dig for a spring....

Atmosphere was good. Waitress was courteous and polite. Service stinks , it took almost 2 hrs to receive meal once we placed the order. Waited 30 min before waitress took our order. Order bbq sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The bbq was to the dry side and the coleslaw was dry. The fries were frozen fries. If your pressed for time I do not recommend...
