Waitress was unprofessional/ should not work with the public. My company was looking for a place to go to regularly and decided to try out Paddy's on 03/29/2019. We were a party of 17. The waitress was training a young man who was sweet. First off, when the meals came, some meals were missing items. No rolls or butter, the chicken BLT was dry and missing the avocado, the yard bird salad also missing avocado. We were there at happy hour and some of our group ordered wine, after the wine was given the waitress came over and loudly said to one of our party that even though she asked for the house wine, she was given the incorrect wine. She was given the expensive wine...the waitress totally threw the trainee under the bus saying it was his fault. She was extremely argumentative and loud, so, the rest of the table stopped talking and listened to the waitress. At the end of the evening, the waitress handed each of us our bills for our drinks. This is where things got extremely out of hand and the waitress proved that she should NOT work with the public. The girl whom ordered the house wine was charged for 3 glasses of the high end wine. She told the waitress that she wasn't going to pay for that and the waitress said "well, You drank it" um, excuse me. No! then the waitress insisted that this same girl drank 3 glasses of wine (she had only 2) The waitress very loudly insisted that she drank 3. Our girl asked for the manager, who was professional, however, in the meantime we found out that another girl drank 2 glasses and was only charged for 1. The waitress never came to apologize and instead of comping the original check, they decided to not charge the 2nd girl for her wine?! But still charged the original girl. To make matters worse, when the waitress came to pick up checks with cash, she would ask "are you all set" Very poor customer service, the waitstaff should be taught to say "I will be right back with your change'
All in all, I highly suggest to eat somewhere else! Our entire group will NEVER eat at Paddy's American Grille or recommend them to...
Read moreYuk, Gross and Going Out Of Business are the best adjectives I can find to describe this place. We were in the tradeport looking for food. Paddy's web listing said it closed at 6 but we figured we'd try. Hidden behind overgrown hedges with a cracked parking lot with weeds growing through. Sad, weathered awning leading inside. Worn carpets in the entry. It sure looked like it was about to close permanently but the parking lot was full so we decided to try. Turns out the lot was full for an Exeter HS reunion. Otherwise the place was completely empty at 7pm on a Saturday night. With good reason it turns out. Service was slow and the waitress kept blaming it on the party--yet there were 4 servers standing around and no-one else seated and the Reunion wasn't ordering from the kitchen. I had the steak frites, which I ordered rare. It probably was rare but the meat was gray all the way through--likely because it was old. It also wasn't the NY Strip promised but some lower cut of flank steak or whatnot. Fries were soggy. I give the place a 2 rather than 1 because the jumbo pretzel appetizer was pretty good and the waitress was nice. My son's patty melt was similarly gray throughout--health inspector take notice. Wife's sirloin tips were bathed in some strange tasting gravy. Drinks came after the meal. Couldn't hold a conversation because the Reunion party was doing very loud god awful Karaoke in the bar area. Small wonder it was empty. Epilogue: everyone woke up very thirsty--obviously MSG is a principal ingredient in their cooking. There is just no reason to go...
Read moreWe've eaten at Paddy's a number of times, and have always had a really good meal. This last time left a lot to be desired. My meal was clearly (to me) cooked by someone other than the person who'd prepared our most recent lunches. I had the Smokehouse Turkey Panini, which I've had numerous times there because it's so good. This time, not so much. The cheese on that sandwich was not at all what I'd gotten each time in the past. It was definitely not the right cheese to have used at all on a panini, and the fries were basically half cooked. My husband had a salad that had odd things in it - some of them looked like they were leftovers from another salad, and a couple things looked like the wrong end of some unknown salad ingredient.
Our waiter took our orders, delivered our food and we never saw him again after that. After this meal and the lack of anyone stopping by our table to check on things, we will move this restaurant to the far back burner. As mentioned above, we've eaten here many times, and have not had these problems ever before. Eating out has gotten more and more expensive, and it's a real shame to have this kind of experience, both food-wise and...
