We were hungry,so we stopped through the drive thru,since we had not been to this place. The service at the window was good. The outside looks clean. I ordered the bean and cheese tacos,the bean and cheese was good,but I could taste the bag store tortillas,that was bad. I do not do bag store tortillas at any restaurant. Every restaurant usually makes there flour torrtillas,or has a machine to do them by the workers. It's bad enough to get a hard tortilla,but a bag store tasting tortilla is yuky to me. We also ordered some Barbacoa tacos,the meat was good,but the tons of grease leaking out in every direction was disgusting. I have been to many restaurants,and there Barbacoa is not greasy,not do there tortillas taste like bag tortillas. There lemonade is okay though. This is a gem in this small town . The food was amazing it's hard to find home cooking. I should know I'm a truck driver and I have been all over. The employee greets you with a smile and a great attitude. Very patient while I studied the menu and even gave me a sample so I knew if I wanted to order it. I did it was delicious. The beans actually had flavor , the carne guisada was soft, juicy, and had lots of flavor. The rice was cooked to perfection with again lots of flavor. The lettuce and tomato were crisp. I want to like this place but I've been a bit disappointed the two times I've been there (for breakfast). The food is just ok honestly. Definitely don't get a warm-fuzzy from the women at register. As if they're not very appreciative of having the customers they have. Well you get what you give right? The topper this last visit was when I ordered the egg, bacon and pancake breakfast and the waitress replied "we're out of bacon". No substitute offered. Nothing.
