Plenty of parking in this plaza. Friendly staff and quick service. I asked for a split check prior to ordering but she still combined it at the end. Cozy indoor and outdoor dining. Rate 3.5, round to 4.
Their lunch specials are daily from 11-3pm that comes with rice and appetizers. You can add $1 for soup and $1 for vegetables. There are 16 items with two vegetarian items.
There’s also a section called “special combination plate” that offer choices served daily 11-5pm, after 5pm would be $1 extra. Different items than lunch and comes with same sides but with egg roll and wontons. Add $1 for soup.
I decided against lunch menu and got fresh wonton soup with noodles. It was a decent size bowl that could be easily shared among two if family style. Since I ate it as a meal, it was like the size of a ramen bowl.
It was lo mein noodles and 4 freshly made pork wontons with cabbage, broccoli and carrots. The broccoli was too tough and needed to be cooked a tad bit longer. The broth was perfect for my palate but others might say it was bland. You can add sauces.
My friend got the lo mein bba pork under special combo plate. I saw an egg roll but not cream cheese wonton.
For dinner, there’s a menu for $16 or $17 per person with 6 choices.
The menu is comparable to other Chinese restaurants and with fair prices. The shrimp category seems to be the highest at $17.85 which is understandable...
Read moreI enjoyed my first visit to this small, no frills, strip mall Chinese restaurant! Upon being seated I was handed a small, multi-page paper menu containing many familiar dishes. I was intrigued by what they call “Snow Hill Chicken” so I ordered it in a Lunch Special. It was delicious, that I can tell you! Made with tender diced chicken in a dark cashew nut sauce with vinegar, wine and soy sauce plus a dash of white pepper. The menu labeled it as “spicy” but it wasn’t really that spicy. It did have a nice tang with a great flavor and perfect wok hei. I may try this again next time in beef form. The Lunch Special included soup, wonton chips, an egg roll and rice. It’s really a great value and a generous amount of food for only about $11. Very affordable for a nice sit-down meal in California these days. The service was rather surly and matter of fact but that’s usually what I expect from a family run Chinese establishment. I look forward to...
Read moreLast week I ordered one honey chicken and received a small carton of rice. This week I ordered two honey chicken, one for me and one for my boyfriend but I only received one carton of rice for one order. I went back and asked for the other rice for the second order and she said she there was two orders of rice in there and quick to dismiss me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. When I got home there was only enough for one order. It cost $38 and they skimp on the rice? I shouldn’t have to make my own rice because they wanted to save a few cents. Poor customer service. If you order two dishes you should get two...
