Pacific Pizza — Restaurant in Poway

Ordered at 6:00 from Uber eats. Got the 14” San Diegan with no add-ons or changes. 6 piece buffalo wings with ranch.

Pizza -Dough/Bread: moderate body, enjoyable chew on the outside softer in the middle. -Sauce: Either a marina or pomadoro I couldn’t tell. -Vegetables: holy moly these were fresh and cooked to perfection. Crunchy and sweet bell peppers. -Meat: hints of fennel in the sausage, pepperoni was what you would expect. -Cheese: Mozzerella? Not sure. Stringy and melted just right.

Wings -Wing: hard to tell if these were baked or fried. The skin seemed to be roasted but either way crunchy on the outside and fully cooked meat. What set these apart was the rub applied to the wing prior to the buffalo sauce. I’m not sure what they used but it was perfect. -Buffalo sauce: good amount. A little tang. Not too spicy.

Rating -Pizza 9/10 -Wings 10/10 (possibly the best I’ve had)

Review Although I didn’t dine in the food was packaged with care and arrived hot. You can definitely tell this kitchen pays attention to the ingredients.

I walked in with my niece to order some slices of pizza. There was a heavy set gentleman that was sitting down in a chair behind the counter to the right of the register. Instead of getting up and walking over to the register he slides over in the chair and enters the information into the register while seated and reaching up to do so. I placed my order and my niece placed her order. He gave us a price and I paid for both orders. After we had already gotten our drinks, he starts asking us for our orders again and he then tells us that he didn't charge us enough. Instead of honoring the price he told us and we already paid, he wants another $10. for his mistake. Again, this was already after we got our drinks and couldn't return them.

During the transaction he received a phone call and he proceeded to talk with that person. When he got the change out of the register he got up from the chair, set the change down on the counter without acknowledging me, turned around and walked away with out even saying thank you for our business.

One has to wonder if they understand that we don't exist because of them, but they stay in business because of...

Got pizza by the slice, not bad but not amazing, 3-4 stars for that. However, their COVID precautions were very off-putting during a mask-mandated time. The girl at the register wore a mask at the register but pulled it down under her chin every time she walked into the kitchen area, and also had gloves and was handling my credit card, the register and machines, and immediately went back and was handling our food (after pulling her mask down) with her hands without washing. They also didn’t have any sanitizer anywhere on-site (neither for customer or employee use). The guy cooking in back wore a mask over his mouth but left nose uncovered, went into a back area and was eating while our pizza cooked, and went back and worked with the pizza again without any hand washing or sanitizing, and they were talking over the food as they prepared. In normal times, I would question the sanitation, in COVID times under indoor mask mandate, it is just irresponsible for food industry service. I probably...
