Wife was hit with bullet ricochet from backstop. I’ve shot at many different ranges many times. Not once have I ever been hit with a bullet. I spoke to someone at the range about it and was told “oh that happens once in a blue moon”. You go to a range for safe shooting… period. The range should be closed until the backstop is inspected. This is not normal and is a big deal. Getting hit with ricocheted bullets from a faulty backstop is UNACCEPTABLE. My wife was hit by two fragments, both drawing blood and one leaving a quarter size swollen welt. Really disappointing and now she doesn’t want to shoot anymore. Please look into this and prevent it from happening again. People could be injured worse next time.

Great indoor gun range!!! Very clean and very professional. The gun range has a viewing area to watch as well. The gun range rental pricing isn’t too bad either!! They do have a membership plan that isn’t too expensive per month but each version has a pretty decent upfront price though. Haven’t joined because of that. The my also have guns to rent and test out.

In short, I have had several poor experiences here and plan to never return, read further for description. I have been at this establishment a handful of times. First time when they their pre-opening event. The ranges were not even complete, but they were beautiful. I was extremely impressed with the building and the initial stock they had available, and their ranges looked beautiful. I thought it would be great to have a range so close to my house. This was my best experience at the the place. I had such high hopes, but unfortunately they were short lived. My second experience there, my wife and I were excited to experience that beautiful range. We entered our lane and took our turns shooting at our targets. Now my wife is just a little over 5 feet tall, and she was doing fine hitting the actual target, but behind the target, her rounds were hitting high. With little to no tact, their range officer interrupted her halfway through her magazine and rudely told her if she hits the ceiling it will be a ten dollar fine. That remark left an extremely sore taste in both our mouths, and we just packed our stuff up and left. The gentleman could have handled the situation with a little professionalism and tact and offered advice (like the simple solution: lower the target).

The next time I just stopped by to see if they had a .22 conversion kit for my kimber 1911 (was looking into it before shopping, retail was ~$300). Browsed around the store to see if they had anything similar in, then asked one of the associates who appeared clueless to what I was referring to. When I asked if it could be something they were able to order and if so what would the cost be, he stated it would be around $500 dollars. Did not look in a manual, perform any search on the computer, or make any calls- just spit out a number. I found that experience very disrespectful. My last experience just occurred today. I am in the market for a sig p238 for my wife's carry pistol. I noticed they had a Groupon for the range and also gun rental. So I thought I would give them one more chance. Again I brought my wife to the range hoping she would be able to try one out (side note: they didn't). My wife brought her Glock 19 and I brought my Kimber also just to have a little variety. Upon entering our lane I notice they placed notches half way down their cardboard so people could properly place their targets so the ceiling would not get shot (Smart!). While my wife shot, I stood in empty lane at about 8 o'clock to see where she was shooting and let her know if. She was doing very well with her Glock, but when she started shooting the Kimber, one of the empty cases flipped up and jammed. She then lowered the gun and turned her head to the left requesting my assistance because she is unfamiliar with the kimber. I was watching her- she kept the gun pointed in the safe direction. Not an issue at all- stepped in the lane, removed the magazine and started to clear the gun when I hear the range officer tell my wife to watch her muzzle (meaning she had it pointed in an unsafe direction). Now I will say at least he was a little more polite about this (no fining threats). But I am sure that from his angle he wasn't able to even see where her muzzle was pointed. And second she was following proper gun protocol (lowering the weapon while keeping it pointed down range). The only reason why he may have said this was because she signaled me with the slight turn of her head to assist her with a gun she was unfamiliar with. I understand, gun safety is absolute- but my wife was doing nothing to warrant this. made both of us feel like she was just being scrutinized because she is a woman. But with all of the poor experiences I have had with this place, it was the final straw. I will never return, and I hope people read this and decide to choose another establishment. Adventure Outdoors has a far greater selection, cheaper range prices, and better...

This range sucks to say the least. Let me explain why I tried to give a chance but they have over and over again dropped the ball. I first met Estes when I moved back to powder springs and he was the only reason I gave the range a thought. I’ve shot here 3 times. The first 2 times, the young white females at the range counter never paid any attention to me or acted like they wanted to help and give me a lane. Every time I am waiting longer than I need to just to get someone to acknowledge me. Now I want to not say they treat the older white customers better than the black customers and maybe they need work on their customer service but it does seem this way. Today I went in to get a few shots off since they were close to my home and I specifically asked the young white female and young black male at the counter how much is it for a lane today being it is Sunday. They white girl said verbatim, oh it’s only 17$. Then she tells me she is putting me on a hot cold lane. I asked her to explain. She tells me I would have to walk down range to change my target distance manually as they’re return machines are not working on majority of the lanes. I told her I would wait because I didn’t feel comfortable doing that. (It was not busy at all) I shot maybe a little over one hour, just to come out and have the manager Adam, check me out and charge me almost $40 because I went over one hour! I was furious! I was barely in there over one hour and besides the point, I asked how much it was to shoot and the white female said $17. He didn’t honor it. What made it worse he asked me to sign up for a membership saying my range time today would be free if I pay $200 initiation fee. My man has to be out of his mind why I would now want to even shoot here ever again. I left out to calm down and walked back in to question them. The white girl noted that she told me it was only $17 to shoot and not $17 per hour. No one has every told me that, mind you this is my 3rd time shooting here and their lanes are never working. I don’t know what they’re deal is here or if it’s just Powder Springs or what. However, they need a lot of help here and I highly doubt it’s a good place for black people to go shoot. Adam (manager) pulled me to the side and to give him credit he did try to rectify this problem however didn’t mention giving my money back. And he was wrong saying they’re prices are online and I promise you, I’m a computer engineer and can’t find the prices online that says what he charged me today. He did give me a credit to come shoot for one free hour but I’ve already paid for it anyways so that’s null and void to me. I will use it since I’ve already paid for it but it will be my last time ever coming here and not just because they’re inconsistent pricing information or horrible customer service but mainly because they put all the black people on the broken lanes it seems like. They’re so many better ranges that have working lanes and better customer service and pricing. Hopefully they get...

I have bought many guns from their parent store Lake Side Guns and enjoyed that little gun store so I thought I would take a look at this new state of the art gun club.

Positives - Beautiful state of the art facility. Nice inventory selection, very nice setup. Awesome looking gun range and from what I could see of the Restaurant before I was kicked out, it looked awesome..

Negatives - Once I walked in I made small talk conversation with a few gentlemen behind the counter and is was pretty obvious they were not very knowledgable about guns. Second, as I walked around checking out the beautiful establishment I walked into the Restaurant to take a look. I got maybe 5 feet in the door there before a gentleman approached me and said "this is for members only, are you a member?" in a very pompous tone. I simply replied "no I am not, just checking the place out to see if I would like to be a member, which you obviously just helped me make my decision" I was simply just looking around. For the 15 minutes I was there never once was I approached by any of the staff to see if I could be helped.

The drive. It is in the middle of no where. Way out in Power Springs, no real direct access, just down Barrett parkway and up Charles Hardy parkway. 30 minute drive from Kennesaw.

Lastly I just had a vibe that I was unwelcome. I was looking forward to this place. Had been hearing about it for over a year. I just won't give my money to a store that makes me feel that way. That is just the feeling I got when I was there. So back to my old gun range to hang out at. The Firing Line. It might not be state of the art and as nice as the Governors Gun Club but the staff is great, knowledgeable and I feel welcome...
