We’ve been in the area for 25+ years and this was our first time here; not sure why, just didn’t notice it. We truly wanted to love it and before our food came I mentioned that we should bring our family back. The cheese curds were really good in my opinion, but my Cheese-head husband said, “it’s hard to screw up fried cheese.” Initially everything that was served to us looked good. My husband said that his burger was ok. I ordered a side salad (that should have been brought out before the other food). After a couple bites I realized that there were dark disgusting blobs of bad lettuce. I don’t mind picking out a couple, but the more I dug, the more there were. I set it aside. My waitress came by the table, and I asked her to please take it and I pointed out all the blobs that I had set aside on a separate plate before I gave up. She said eww and I assumed that she was going to take it off of our bill. My Ruben had very little meat on it. It looked like a few broken up pieces of pot roast. Not at ALL like the reviews of the pastrami sandwiches that enticed us to come in!! I was stunned when our bill came and my salad was still on it! Never in all my years of dining out have I ever had this happen to me. I questioned the waitress and she came back and said that the manager/owner took $2.50 off since I had eaten part of it. At this point I couldn’t help but get upset. She did take it off the bill but my question is, is $3.50 worth your reputation as a restaurant in a town with so much other competition? If you’re so desperate for the $5.99, why wouldn’t you offer to replace it? (Your cost of MAYBE $.50??) My husband did tip the waitress but we won’t...
Read moreFood could not have been worse! The burger tasted like there was a half a container of pepper on them. Compliments to the chef, somehow you were able to make an extremely greasy burger but at the same time the meat was horribly dry. The iwas supposed to have a 6:30 pick up time but all the food had obviously been sitting there for 15 minutes because everything was stone cold. The fries were limp and greasy and cold. My wife's salad was full of wilty brown romaine lettuce. The service was horrible also. Ordered on the phone and instead of giving me the best value was told on the phone my total was 55 dollars when I arrived it was 65 after they modified my order. When I complained and said this isn't what was ordered iwas told that "This is what you got" had i known the correct total i would have gotten something else and wish I had. I got three burgers and three fries for 65 dollars most expensive horrible meal I ever experienced. Please actually read the reviews and stay away from this place. I read the reviews and thought no this was just a fluke but believe me it wasn't. Please please please go somewhere else. Grossest twelve dollar burger that was supposed...
Read moreThe establishment is clean, and comfortable. It is a cozy pub atmosphere. The beer selection looks to be excellent. Those are the positive aspects... I took my family there for dinner, and the experience wasn't that great overall. The prices are quite high for the area. My son ordered a burger, and it was JUST a burger for $10.00!!! There were no fries, or anything, other than a pickle. I ordered the Fish & Chips, and the cod filets were overcooked, and pretty skimpy, with just a handful of very thin fries - for $15,.00. We ordered side salads, which were tiny for $5.99. The one exception was my other son's Chef Salad, which looked very nice. All told, it was the most expensive dinner out in a long time, and the quality didn't merit the price. A person could take a scenic drive up to De Soto, and go to the Great River Roadhouse for a better meal, at a much cheaper price. Disappointed. If you are looking for a pub to drink in, and have some bar food, and have plenty of disposable income - then maybe Eddie's...
